Required parameters

State

Name of the state. This name is used to pull a vector image of the state seal (ex: File:Seal_of_California.svg), link to the state page (ex: California State Legislature), and add the page to the appropriate category (ex: Category:California statutes)

Full_name

Name of the legislation. Appears above the state seal.

• Example: Full_name = Global Warming Solutions Act of 2006

Status_Extended

Further description of the status, if desired. Appears after status in parentheses. Can be any custom value.

• Example: Status = partially_struck_down | Status_Extended = Restriction allowing only 7 rounds ruled unconstitutional, changed to 10 rounds

Introduced

Date the legislation was introduced.

• Example: Introduced = January 3, 2018

House_Voted or Assembly_Voted

Date and tally of lower house vote. In California, Nevada, New Jersey, New York, and Wisconsin the lower house is called the "Assembly"

• Example: House_Voted = January 3, 2018 (32-6)
• Example: Assembly_Voted = January 3, 2018 (32-6)

Senate_Voted

Date and tally of senate (upper house) vote

• Example: Senate_Voted = January 3, 2018 (32-6)

Signed

Date the legislation was signed into law

• Example: Signed = January 3, 2018

Sponsors

Any legislative sponsors

• Example: Sponsors = [[John McCain]]

Governor

Governor who might have signed or vetoed the law

• Example: Governor = [[Arnold Schwarzenegger]]

Code

Code this law falls in (for instance California Codes)

• Example: Code = Domestic Relations Law
• Example: Code = [[California_Civil_Code|Civil Code]]

Section

The specific section(s) of law this falls into

• Example: Section = § 4052.01
