Description of suggested change: The text of the link to the notability criteria in the web declination statement states it links to the notability criteria for websites. But, this declination statement and the linked WP:NWEB guideline is used for all web-based content, not just websites. The updated text should reduce confusion when declining a submission that is web-based but not a website.

Diff:

This submission's references do not show that the subject qualifies for a Wikipedia article—that is, they do not show significant coverage (not just passing mentions) about the subject in published, reliable, secondary sources that are independent of the subject (see the guidelines on the notability of websites). Before any resubmission, additional references meeting these criteria should be added (see technical help and learn about mistakes to avoid when addressing this issue). If no additional references exist, the subject is not suitable for Wikipedia.

Description of suggested change: Implement the ai/llm decline message currently in Template:AfC submission/comments/sandbox, per consensus at Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Articles for creation#Current draft text.

|ai|llm = Your draft shows signs of having been generated by a large language model, such as ChatGPT. Their outputs usually have multiple issues that prevent them from meeting our guidelines on writing articles. These include:
* Promotional tone, editorializing, and other words to watch * Vague, generic, and speculative statements extrapolated from similar subjects * Essay-like writing * Hallucinations (plausible-sounding, but false information) and non-existent references * Close paraphrasing
Please address these issues. The best way to do it is usually to read reliable sources and summarize them, instead of using a large language model. See our help page on large language models.

In the "Where to get help" section should the suggestion to go to the "AfC Help Desk" be a link to the actual help desk page? KylieTastic (talk) 14:36, 3 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Not done normally, maybe - but in this case there is a link to a wizard for that page and the goal is to get new users to use that wizard instead of trying to use the editor to add their question. — xaosflux Talk 14:59, 3 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]
