Chrono order
[edit]This list would be more useful if it were in chrono order (afterall it has "timeline" io the name).Thanks. Americasroof (talk) 02:29, 23 July 2010 (UTC)
- i'm not sure what you mean....it is in chronological order...isn't it? --emerson7 04:22, 23 July 2010 (UTC)
- Thanks. I guess it was just two buildings (one of which I was looking to add something) which needed to be flipped which I did.Americasroof (talk) 11:04, 23 July 2010 (UTC)
- actually the order should be by height and date. if smith tower (1914/141m) was completed earlier and is taller than the pacbell building (1925/133m)....the pacbell building should not be in the template at all. --emerson7 22:48, 23 July 2010 (UTC)
- Thanks for the eagle eye. I was myopic on focusing on one building. P.S. Nice to be looking at something other than Deepwater for a change ;-) Americasroof (talk) 01:08, 24 July 2010 (UTC)

Contradictions
[edit]The list seems to be inconsistent with the listed heights. Usually it lists roof height, with some exceptions:
- Central Tower says 91 m, article says it was 96 m at the time and reduced in 1938
- Mercantile National Bank Building lists its clock tower height, article says its roof height is actually 131.1 m (not tall enough to be listed)
- "Republic Center" lists the spire height of Republic Center Tower I; its roof height is actually 138 m (not tall enough to be listed)
- Sheraton Dallas Hotel says it's 183 m, which contradicts the article's 550 feet (170 m)
The list should probably look more like:
Central Tower (96 m) (1898) · Smith Tower (141 m) (1914) · Kansas City Power and Light Building (145.1 m) (1931) · Sheraton Dallas Hotel (170 m) (1959) · ExxonMobil Building (185 m) (1963) · Elm Place (191 m) (1965) · 555 California Street (237 m) (1969) · Transamerica Pyramid (260 m) (1972) · Aon Center (262 m) (1973) · JPMorgan Chase Tower (305 m) (1982) · U.S. Bank Tower (310 m) (1990)
