Errors in timeline graphics

[edit]
  • The Amateurliga Hessen, Amateurliga Bayern and Amateurliga Berlin until 1978 never had Oberliga status. Before 1963 the Oberliga was the level above. Between 1963 and 1978, there was no Oberliga in Germany. (Except for Amatuer-Oberliga Nord since 1974.)
  • The Niedersachsenliga, Mittelrheinliga and Niederrheinliga are officially labelled "Oberliga ..." now.
  • No Denglish/Germish please "Bayernliga NORD", "Bayernliga SÜD".
  • It's "Bremen-Liga".
  • There never was an "Oberliga Berlin" before 1963. That's an urban myth. The division was officially labelled "Berliner Stadtliga". Inoffically it was "Vertragsliga Berlin".
  • Between 1974 and 1994, the official name was "Amateur-Oberliga", not just "Oberliga" to distinguish from the 1945-63 Oberliga, which were no full amateur leagues.

So whoever maintains this graphics may probably improve his work, otherwise I'm afraid I must delete it in the near future because of that many errors... --NeunZehnHundertFünf (talk) 21:01, 29 July 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Hi there,
first of all, thanks for the corrections. However - do you have sources for your statements? Also, please do not delete erroneous graphics, but instead try to correct them, if you can. If you do not have the possibility to do that, please provide sources for your statements and someone else will take care of it. --Madcynic (talk) 08:29, 31 July 2012 (UTC)[reply]
As to the necessary easy corrections:
  • Amateurliga Hessen, Amateurliga Bayern and Amateurliga Berlin until 1978 removed. Were marked in orange already to differenciate between pre- and post-1978 status and labeled Amateurligas to differenciate.
  • Niedersachsenliga, Mittelrheinliga and Niederrheinliga: Names updated.
  • "Bayernliga NORD", "Bayernliga SÜD": amended.
  • Oberliga Berlin: Not done. Kicker Almanach referes to the league as Oberliga Berlin, with "Stadtliga" in brackets, indicating that both names are applicable. Like Madcynic says, please provide a references if the name Oberliga was never used and the Kicker Almanach is wrong.
  • Amateur-Oberliga: Not done, the limited size of the graph makes multiple names for leagues to crowded, historical varyiations of league names can be found in articles which are linked in the template.
All easy changes, but better discussed on the template talk page then the article one where the changes can't be made! Calistemon (talk) 22:37, 31 July 2012 (UTC)[reply]
