map dots with halos[edit]

LuciferAhriman, I have made a few subtle colour changes to your fabulous map, and have used a halo feature (which is new). My hope is that this helps to see how the various national interests are placed, but if you think it is not helping then please revert or adjust as you see fit. Nice to see you making good use of OSM Location map. RobinLeicester (talk) 22:06, 9 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]

I noted during updates here that the original author contributed another mapping solution at Template:Spratly Islands Map which was being used more widely and now Robins fresh work of the last few months on Template:OSM Location map seem to me to have made Template:location map+ capacities just seem tired ChaseKiwi (talk) 21:07, 5 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]

General improvements using new OSM capacity[edit]

The new mark-title tool-tip on hover capacity in Map OSM template will be supplemented by alternate names using mark-description attribute on the click thru map as I have time. I will also add flags so this template can replace the rather tired template Template:Spratly Islands Map now that Template:OSM Location map has had an overhaul ChaseKiwi (talk) 10:35, 5 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Please note: in my update I did not use as a source/check the information in List of maritime features in the Spratly Islands or add more Islands as while I have to admit considering adding one or two, I thought this best left to those with better expertise on if an Island is notable and I only did this tidy up as I am more familiar than many editors with the new capacity of Template:OSM Location map.
