Tesheva Creek is a stream in the U.S. state of Mississippi.[1]
Tesheva is a name derived from the Choctaw language purported to mean either "one who goes and washes" or "what is used to wash one with" (i.e. soap).[2] Variant names are "Techevah Creek", "Techeyeh Creek", "Tesecah Creek", "Teshecah Creek", "Tesheeah Creek", "Tesheevah Creek", and "Teshevah Creek".[1]

Popular culture
[edit]In 2015, the "Southern Psychedelic" rock group Tesheva adopted the name.
