Tesla Network

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Tesla Network is a forthcoming ride-hailing service being developed by Tesla, Inc. for its vehicles, including the Cybercab, the Robovan, and other personally-owned Tesla electric vehicles.

Vehicles

[edit]

The Tesla Network is expected to work with all current Tesla vehicles, but is focused on two new pure-autonomous vehicles, Cybercab and Robovan, as well as the Model 3 and Model Y, for owners who choose to allow their vehicles to participate in the network. Cybertruck, Model S and Model X will also be able to participate in the ride-hailing network.

Tesla Cybercab

[edit]

Tesla CEO Elon Musk announced the Cybercab on October 10, 2024, at Warner Bros. Studios Burbank, where 20 concept Cybercabs were autonomously driving around the studio outlot at night and giving rides to attendees of the event.[1] Musk mentioned that that Tesla intends to produce the Cybercab by 2027.[2]

Tesla Robovan

[edit]

A concept Tesla Robovan passenger van was also autonomously driven to the main stage at the 10 October event. Robovan is being designed to carry up to 20 passengers.[2]
