Tika (also known as "Tika the Iggy") is an Italian Greyhound with a large following on social media.[3] She has been described as a "fashion icon"[4] and "the poster girl for the dog fashion craze".[5] Her online accounts are managed by owner Thomas Shapiro,[6] who adds humorous voice-overs to videos of Tika wearing various outfits.[7][8]

Tika has been on social media since 2016, when she was four years old. Her Instagram account describes her as a "gay icon" and the "Kween of Derp".[9] Her extravagant wardrobe has approximately 300 outfits such as capes, hoodies,[10] cow-print polo necks, feathered jackets, colorful trench coats, and yellow sweatsuits.[7][2] Tika gained popularity during the COVID-19 pandemic.[11] She has more than 1 million followers on social media[12] and has appeared in Vogue.[1][13][14] She appeared at the Billboard Music Awards in 2021[15] and at New York Fashion Week in 2022 and 2023.[16][17]

Tika is based in Ville-Émard, Montreal.[1] Her name is based on the Hindi phrase "Theek hai" (ठीक है), which translates to "alright, well done".[18] She is the subject of the book Tika the Iggy: Lessons in Life, Love, and Fashion.[2][19]

Since creating the accounts for Tika, Shapiro left his job as a web developer in 2021.[20]
