From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Turkish Emissions Trading System is the proposed carbon emission trading system of Turkey, which is supposed to start in 2025,[1]: section 4.8  with a pilot phase including industries such as cement,[2] before the EU Carbon Border Adjustment Mechanism starts charging in 2026. As of 2024 it has not yet been decided whether the country will join the Cooperative Mechanisms under Article 6 of the Paris Agreement.[1]: section 4.4.1
