Art[edit]

Imrie tendered a design - numbered 43 by the post office - for Scotland's first stamps. This was the pre-decimal stamp set of 1958 showing the Wilding motif of Queen Elizabeth. His design was successful, with a couple of tweaks, 43C being the ultimate design, and used for the 1 shilling and 3 pence green stamp in the set.[1]

Death[edit]
