APL Logistics, a unit of Singapore-based Neptune Orient Lines (NOL), is a global end-to-end supply chain service provider. It offers consulting solutions and uses IT for maximum supply chain visibility and control.
Its predecessor, American Consolidation Services, was the consolidation unit of APL since 1980 and has been consolidated to APL Logistics during its incorporation. APL Logistics also acquired GATX Logistics in 2001, the second largest contract logistics company in the U.S. then. [1]
APL Logistics provides international, integrated supply chain services in 75 countries, including International Logistics Services, Land Transport Services, Contract Logistics as well as Automotive Logistics. Within this network, the services provided include origin and destination services such as freight consolidation, warehousing and distribution management. APL Logistics operates in key industry sectors such as automotive, chemicals, consumer-packaged goods, fashion, high-tech and electronics, industrial goods and retail.

2006 - Teamed up with U.S. long-haul trucker Con-Way to introduce OceanGuaranteed®, the industry's first date-definite delivery service for less-than-containerload (LCL) shipments.[2]
2008 - Introduced APL Guaranteed Continental™, guaranteed delivery of full container loads from Asia to virtually any destination in the U.S.
2009 - OceanGuaranteed® expands to include Mexico.
2009 - APL Logistics launches first Flow Centre concept in Dubai Logistics City.
