The wall thickness is 40х70х70 (80) cm.It was built by large stone blocks. The fortress has 4 gates, one in the north, and three in the south.Residential houses consist of a spacious and well-furnished rooms grouped around the inner courtyard. There is a bedroom for Akyrtas' owner on the southern edge of the yard.It is designed for the people and security guards working in the houses on the north door, and for the horseback. There is a central yard with a reservoir, an area for defensive troops, a special place for declaration or religious ceremonies.P. While I. Lerch says that Akyrtas is an uninhabited Buddhist temple, academician V. B. Barthold predicts that it is the Nestorian temple.According to the writing of the archeologist TK Bashenov, Akyrtas is the foundation of the great fortress, which has not been completed.According to research by scientists from Kazakhstan and France in 1996 year, Akyrtas can be a place of Keruen palace of 8-11 century. As the construction project is similar to medieval buildings in Iraq and Syria. Aghyrtas might begin to be built in the second half of the 8th century, the 751th, when Karls and Arabian forces broke down the Chinese armies in the area of Atlah and started peace talks between the two countries. However, construction stopped for unknown reasons. The Kasribas ,which was located along the Great Silk Road from the Arab writings (Ibn Khordadbuh, Ibn Qudam),might be the very Akyrtas.
