The sum of human knowledge will be brought together as a single digital database. The only question is how soon and who will hold the keys, you or Google.

note! He does not actually look as youthful and wide eyed as this.

I'm Atani, a person who lives in a forest set within one of the Earth's two oldest mountain ranges and has been an avid Wikipedian since 2007; however, only recently have I started to do even some minor editing.

My areas of interest tend to range far and wide, most of the time I am doing research for my outside interests, but in particular I enjoy making minor edits of style and consistency for articles who's editors may not have a good grasp of the English language. I only become riled when I see editors making unverifiable or unsourced claims that may reflect a personal bias and not the state of the art or good scholarship.

You can contact me through my user talk or by email. Thank you for your interest.

Why I Edit

With use comes the responsibility to contribute.

It's about as simple as that.

Using Wikipedia is a valid form of participation in the Project, but is not enough. What is required of you is three things, your: Time, Treasure, and Talent. Sending in some of your hard earned treasure to support the Wikimedia foundation is a valid form of contributing, but is not sufficient to fulfill the obligation to contribute; your time and your talent is also required.

Quite simply put, massively collaborative projects such as Wikipedia are the way Humanity will do things in the future. If you wish to be part of Humanity's future you must learn to participate and to contribute in what ever way your resources and talents allow and your inclinations direct you.

Learn how.
