Bobby Lee Rodgers is a singer, songwriter, guitar and banjo player best known for his role with The Codetalkers. Rodgers is known for his unique sound, incorporating distortion, jazz and improvisation. He has also been noted for his songwriting, featuring offbeat lyrics and humor.

Rodgers was born in Stone Mountain, Georgia. He studied classical and jazz guitar at the University of Georgia. He continued his studies at the Berklee School of Music in Boston, becoming a jazz instructor there at twenty three. While in Boston Rodgers developed an interest in bluegrass music, influencing him to play the banjo as well.
