Household waste and recycling centres are helping us try to go green because we are realizing the amount of household waste we have, we are able to put the recycling centres into better use. Most of the animal products and dairy products we buy, are the cause of most of the wasting that goes on.[1]. Now when people want to buy a home, they factor in the kitchen and the garden a lot more, because when they buy the house it will help them go green because it will be easier to separate their waste so that it will help create less landfill. [2]

Waste That Can Be Recycled

-Paper(magazines, cardboard boxes, mail, regular paper)

-Glass(jars)

-Plastic(milk cartons, bottles)

-Metals(cans)

-Foods can be composted which is another form of recycling.

The History of Waste Management

The history of waste starts from around 3000 BC, waste consisted of bones,bodies, and ashes to the present day where the waste is from trash to recycled items to composted items. Most of our waste is landfill, and we don't want that. Now that we have the knowledge that we have to much waste, we try to reduce, reuse and recycle - the 3 R's. By doing these three things, we can cut down on our waste and go green.[3]
