Format[edit]
The 16 qualifying teams were divided into four groups of four teams; the top two teams in each group advanced to the Super 8 round. In this stage, the qualifying teams were split into two groups of four; the top two teams from each group in this stage qualified for the knockout stage, which consisted of two semi-finals and a final.
Contrary to the previous editions, no Super Over was played if a Group Stage or Super 8 match was tied, and both teams received one point each.
