Fadi Hakim (born mmm dd, yyyy) is a Canadian businessman, restaurateur, writer and producer. Born in Toronto, Ontario, Hakim is the CEO of Lev Gleason Publications, Canada's largest comic book publisher as well as the owner of several restaurants across Canada, including Lakeview Restaurant and The Haifa Room.[1]
Career

[edit]Hakim opened his first club, The Coloured Stone, in 20XX, when he was twenty.[2]
Ten years later he opened Citron Restaurant, [3] Citron Retail, two Canopy Fair Trade Coffee locations, Canteena Food and Drink Lounge, and The Chelsea Room. Since 2007 after a stint of Restaurant Consulting in San Francisco. In 2007 he opened The Lakeview Restaurant with his wife, Frances Bell, and shortly after, added The Lakeview Storehouse and The Abbott of Parkdale.
In 2011, Hakim took over and restored The Great Hall with Nav Sangha and Alex Sengupta.[4] In October 2017, The Great Hall received the William Greer Architectural Conservation and Craftsmanship Award from Heritage Toronto in the Honourable Mention category reserved for smaller projects.[5]
Most recently, Hakim added the award-winning Haifa Room and the upcoming Jean Darlene Piano Bar + Request Room in Toronto.
Chapterhouse Comics and Lev Gleason Incorporated
[edit]Hakim founded Chapterhouse Comics in 20XX,[6] featuring characters from Comely Comix, Anglo-American Publishing, Fiction House, and Matrix Graphics and released Captain Canuck #1 in July 2015, launching the Chapterverse. In 2020, Hakim revived the defunct Lev Gleason Publications in 2020, amalgamating Chapterhouse's existing publications, and creating the Comic House Universe. Lev Gleason Incorporated has become Canada's biggest comic book publisher with over 800 publications.
In 20XX, Hakim developed Scraper Studios, later known as Lev Gleason Studios, a production company focusing on the Comic House and New Friday properties. Beginning in 2013, Captain Canuck: The Web Series. The first full-length film produced was Going In, staring director Evan Rissiand and Ira Goldman, and was released in 2023.
