A fact from the article Meon Valley Railway, which this user created or significantly contributed to, has been featured in the Did you know... section on the Main Page.
As well as archaeology, I am keen on anything mechanical or transport related, including aircraft, boats/ships, tractors, locomotives (both steam and diesel) and cars (especially Land Rovers).
In terms of archaeology, I am especially interested in the Industrial Revolution and its associated technology, which is where my interest in railways came from. I tend to 'read up' most on the pre-grouping era railways in the UK, especially the late 19th/early 20th centuries. Although I wouldn't class myself as knowledgable in either, I am interested in civil engineering and architecture as well.
Meon Valley Railway- the only article I started from scratch, I am continuing to dig up information on this subject. Currently I am trying to track down suitable period photographs. At some point I will sit down and do all the in-text references if no one gets there first.
