The first name of my alias is based on a character I love from Elfen Lied, a Japanese manga and anime series from the early 2000s, though the character's real name, Kaede, is something not mentioned in the Wikipedia article; perhaps I should fix that. I also wanted it to maintain gender ambiguity, and so it is also a unisex name to fit this purpose.

Within the field of Women and Gender Studies, I am interested in the role of gender in various religions, gender fluidity in children, and the influence of prenatal conditions and genetics on gender identity and sexual orientation. Being bold is important on Wikipedia.
