Katherine Battle is undertaking a DPhil to study the burden of Plasmodium vivax malaria. Specifically, she is analysing spatial variation in P. vivax relapse rates and the association between prevalence and incidence to generate evaluations of clinical burden. Katherine has a background in malaria entomology research and worked on the first steps to a global atlas of infectious disease as a research assistant with the group.
