Aer is a musical duo of Carter Schultz and David von Merring and originating from Wayland, MA. Founded in April, 2010, the group has been gaining popularity with college students across the country . The group currently is on a national tour.

Background[edit]

Formation[edit]

Aer (Pronounced "Air") was formed in (Date unknown) by Carter Schultz and David von Merring while still attending Wayland High School in Wayland, MA. Their initial work was composed and recorded on their personal laptops using Apple GarageBand.

Early Releases[edit]

With the release of two demo tracks followed by an EP, Aer quickly gained popularity within Wayland High School. One of their first shows was at Wayland High School's WinterWeek festival. The performance was captured by the Wayland Student Press Network and can be seen here. Within a few months the group was playing at various small venues around MetroWest Boston.

Fresh Air Movement Tour[edit]

Currently Aer is on tour around the country. While they have played in the north east, this is their first national tour.
