I am a technologist, writer and editor based in Masterton, New Zealand. As a technologist I'm especially interested in the ways that technological innovation drives economic and social progress.
I strongly believe that transportation technology is central to modern society, which is why I have taken a special interest in CO2-neutral and CO2-negative transportation technology.
I am interested in plenty of other topics. Back in 2001 I published a book on a New Zealand timber company that traded between 1900 and 1972. That's why I contribute to pages about the Taupo Totara Timber Company and its operations, including the unique TTT railway.
I contribute where I can add value because I think Wikipedia is a fantastic resource. It can be valuable only if it is accurate, independent, and complete. Far more often than not Wikipedia achieves those goals.
What a fantastic resource it really is.
