Izdeliya Timeline[edit]
1991[edit]
- November 6 1991: Armed individuals belonging to the Izdeliyan National movement storm a meeting of the Supreme Soviet of the Izdeliyan SSR, with the aim of declaring Independence from the Soviet Union. President Boris Pavlovich and may important Soviet Officials were killed during the storming, effectively dissolving the Soviet government.
- November 7 1991: Anatoliy Tikhonovich is declared as the new president of the Izdeliyan Republic and many members of the Izdeliyan National Movement are brought into the new government. Independence referendum dates are scheduled for November 18 - November 22 1991.
- November 10 1991: The majority of the armed forces in Izdeliya swear loyalty to the new government. The 10th Motor Rifle Brigade Remains loyal to the Soviet Union.
- November 22 1991: Elections end with a turnout of 81%, with 76.3% Voting for independence. Soviet officials in Moscow state that the elections are illegal.
- November 24 1991: The 10th Motor Rifle Brigade, under the command of Petr Fyodorovich, move into Oktyanskoy, occupying the city. Izdeliyan forces are mobilised and sent to surround the city.
