Matthew Brewster was a young man with an incredibly bright future when he suffered from a freak massive brain bleed. Eight years later, after near consistent therapy, he began the process of turning his journal into a book. You can either read on to learn more about him, or you can head over to inspiration-everywhere.com to read more about him.

Life before the bleed

Matthew's life was extremely blessed. He was naturally intelligent, he was very athletic, and being a midwesterner he was very social. He had friends, he had a girlfriend, everything was going great for him until the bleed.

The bleed

On December 5th, 2012 Mathew walked down the hall, was waiting for the shower to warm up, and then experienced a massive pain in his head. He was rushed to the hospital and air lifted to Indianapolis, at Goodman Campbell, without a doubt the best neurological hospital in the world.

After spending two months in the ICU, he then spent 3 months in in patient rehab at the RIC, now known as Shirley Ryan Ability Lab.

After finishing this, he rejoined the world, mostly, and to his disappointment he wasn't who he used to be. Understanding how lonely he could easily become, he devoted his time to re accomplishing what so many deemed impossible.

After eight years, he began the process of turning his work into a book. Read this book at amazon.com/author/matthewbrewster.

Likes

Matthew has an affinity for the sport he grew up in, fencing. Though he is no longer gifted at all, he genuinely enjoys going through the motions, and "competing" when he can.

He also enjoys to walk now. Matthew tries to go on a walk at least once a day where he can recenter and focus on what matters.

He plays euchre as frequently as he is able to, and is a member of clubs wherever he goes in order to play.

Dislikes

Hypocrisy is incredibly frustrating to Matthew. He cannot stand it when people are willing to speak on something, but do nothing themselves to change it.
