O'Callaghan was born and grew up in Mullingar, County Westmeath, Ireland.[5] She started playing bass when she was 17 or 18, after originally wanting to be a drummer.[1]

She first got exposure when she played with Maynard James Keenan on Puscifer album Conditions of My Parole (2011).[6] She initially moved between living in Ireland and Los Angeles, until she decided to moved to L.A. fulltime.[6] She went on to play with Dee Snider, in 2017,[7] and Adler's Appetite in 2018.[8]

In 2021, she left Adler's Appetite to join Whitesnake, replacing long-time bassist Michael Devin.[9] She is the first female member in the band's history.[10]

O'Callaghan joined Bruce Dickinson's solo band in 2024, playing on the supporting tour of his album, The Mandrake Project.[11] She first played with Dickinson when they both participated in a performance of Deep Purple's Concerto for Group and Orchestra.[3]
