From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

I’m Noah Theodore Johnson, a professor and researcher with a Master’s and PhD in History from the University of Toledo, specializing in Jewish family genealogy, with a particular focus on the history and origins of Sephardic Jews. Throughout my career, I’ve been deeply involved in studying the Sephardic diaspora, concentrating on preserving the memory and complex family trajectories that have developed over the centuries.

My academic experience includes archival research, investigating ancient documents, and working with communities around the world to trace the origins and history of Jewish families. To me, genealogy isn’t just about studying family lines; it’s a way to understand the cultural, social, and spiritual contributions these families have made to the societies they became a part of.

My goal is to actively contribute to the global understanding of Jewish genealogy and history, especially in the field of Sephardic families. Through my studies and publications, I aim to expand the knowledge available on Wikipedia, helping to build a strong, accessible foundation for future researchers and those interested in family history. I believe my work can benefit both scholars and individuals seeking to reconnect with their roots.

Collaborating with Wikipedia feels like a natural extension of my work because I believe access to knowledge should be open and available to everyone.
