Nixon And His Home States

[edit]

When discussing home states, it should be mentioned that what is meant is "state of citizenship" (which is defined by the 14th Amendment as the state in which a person primarily resides).

Throughout his life, Richard Nixon seems to have primarily resided in California from 1913-1942, Virginia from 1942-1945, Washington D.C, Pennsylvania, New York and Maryland in 1945, Maryland from 1945-1946, California again from 1946-1963, New York 1963-1970/1, California again 1970/1-1979, New York again 1979-1981, and New Jersey 1981-1994.

However, most of these states would not be considered Nixon's home states or "states of citizenship"; state(s) of citizenship are determined by the state in which an American (or their guardian if a minor) holds their drivers license and their voting residence. We may not have Nixon's drivers licenses but we do have records of his voting residences. Records from Nixon autobiographies ("Nixon: A Life", for example) show that Nixon remained a registered vote of his father's Whittier residence while Nixon and his wife were living in Virginia, Washington D.C, Pennsylvania, New York and Maryland from 1941-1946, and that he had voted for Californian Republicans in 1944.

So, it would appear that Nixon was a Californian from 1913-1963. It can also be determined from news reporting of the 1968 and 1972 elections (available online) that Nixon voted in New York in 1968 then in California in 1972, confirming that Nixon was a New Yorker from 1963-1970/71 and a Californian from 1970/71-1979.

The final piece of this puzzle is the voting residence of Nixon after 1979, during his retirement. It can be confirmed through the Social Security Administration that Nixon's listed residence zip code at his time of death was in Bronxville, New York[1]. Since other government agencies commonly list Americans' place of residence according to their voting residence, it can be presumed that the Social Security Administration saw that Nixon's voting residence was in New York at his time of death. Thus it can be reasoned that after Nixon moved to New York from California in 1979, he kept his voting residence in New York for the remainder of his life despite later having a home in New Jersey. Thus, Nixon was a New Yorker from 1979 to 1994.

TLDR: Nixon's home states or "states of citizenship" can be determined by his voting residences. Through these voting residences (one of which is assumed by a death file record by the Social Security Administration) we find that throughout his life Nixon was a Californian and a New Yorker: a Californian from 1913-1963 and 1970/1-1979, and a New Yorker 1963-1970/1 and 1979-1994.

Miscellaneous Astrology Notes

[edit]

In order to determine the circumstances of someone's life and their character at any given moment, astrologers should examine sidereal astrology, the nakshatra system and the dasha system inherent in Vedic Astrology. Sidereal astrology is equivalent to the Western Astrology used by Americans but accounts for the change in the annual positions of constellations/zodiacs caused by the precession or rotation of the Earth's axis. Using sidereal astrology, the nakshatra system is simply a means of further dividing the 12 zodiacs into 27 sections, each with their own planetary ruler and their own unique characteristics - these characteristics include how divine or demonic a nakshatra is, how esteemed a nakshatra is by its class/caste, etc. The dasha system is a time table of "planetary periods" that determines the life of a person. The dashas look towards the sidereal position of the Moon and assigns the person's first planetary period according to the planetary ruler of that nakshatra of the Moon and assigns how far into the dasha time period they begin according to how far into the nakshatra the Moon is placed. The planetary periods are:

  • Mercury (17 years)
  • Ketu/Neptune (7 years)
  • Venus (20 years)
  • Sun (6 years)
  • Moon (10 years)
  • Mars (7 years)
  • Rahu/Uranus (18 years)
  • Jupiter (16 years)
  • Saturn (19 years)

The planetary period will play out in a person's life according to the characteristics of the planet, the house placement of the planet in the person's birth chart (or where in the "celestial sphere"/sky a planet was placed at birth), and the characteristics of the nakshatra the planet is in.

Astrology And Reincarnation Theory

[edit]

The process of reincarnation could be connected to the astrological positions of the birth chart. But first, the rationale for replacing Ketu with Neptune and Rahu with Uranus should be explained.

The original Vedic Astrologers did not know of the existence of all planets; they only knew of Mercury, Venus, Mars, (Earth,) Jupiter and Saturn. Yet they still included in their system two "imaginary planets": Rahu and Ketu. My theory is that the original Vedic Astrologers either intuitively knew or were divinely told of the existence of two further planets, and thus these two imaginary planets act as placeholders for Uranus and Neptune. Indeed, the mythology and characteristics of Rahu and Ketu are nearly identical to those of Uranus and Neptune respectively. Rahu and Uranus both represent futuristic change, technology, eccentric activity, scientific genius, etc. Ketu and Neptune both represent spirituality, past lives, religiosity, higher learning and detachment from material desire.

Switching Rahu and Ketu with Uranus and Neptune, we can more easily identify the past lives of those still on Earth. Astrologers commonly using Rahu and Ketu to identify past lives was rather absurd considering Rahu and Ketu are always opposite one another in the zodiac, meaning that if Rahu represented the karma of the current life and Ketu represented the karma of the previous life, a soul would continuously go through the same two karmic lessons over and over for time immemorial. With Uranus and Neptune, the placements are not fixed in this way, allowing for a much more comprehensible range of possible karmic lessons.

The placements of Uranus and Neptune determines reincarnation as such: The placement of a living person's Neptune - i.e. the planet representing past life karma - will be located in the same nakshatra AND the birth chart house of their previous incarnation's Uranus - planet representing current life karma. For example, if someone's Neptune is placed in the nakshatra of Shravana in the 5th House, then their past life self will have Uranus in the nakshatra of Shravana in the 5th House.

Unfortunately, I am not sure whether someone has to be born in the same area where their past life self died to be confirmed as a reincarnated soul, but at the very least I have this astrological theory to get behind.

Additionally, the time period dasha after a person’s death could possibly be one of their first dashas in their next life, with the nakshatra and the house of the dasha planet intact.

Quick Tip: Astrology And Electoral Opportunity

[edit]

The easiest way to determine the electoral fortunes of a person is to check their birth chart and see which planets are transiting (the zodiac of) the birth chart's fourth and tenth house. If the benefic/good planets Jupiter (and/or Venus sometimes) are transiting these houses without being retrograde - without appearing to temporarily move backwards in the sky - then the person is likely to achieve the most electoral success and most likely win an electoral landslide; if Jupiter (or Venus) is transiting while retrograde, the good effects will be slightly diminished. If the malefic/bad planets Saturn and/or Mars are transiting these houses, then the person will likely experience electoral failure or do far worse than usual; if Saturn or Mars is transiting while retrograde, then the negative effects will be slightly diminished. If there is a combination of these good and bad planets, the results will become mixed. If there is a combination of good and bad planets between a candidate and his running mate if he has one, the results will become mixed or cancel out. If both competitive candidates have the same benefics/malefics transiting these houses, the results will cancel out.
