Marmat is a major gotra of Meena Community. Marmat is the landlord Meena(जमीदार मीणा). Mainly they are found in Sawai Madhopur. today every marmat has more than 21 bighas of land, hence they are also called Jagidar Meena. In ancient time Marmat's are ruler of many parts of Sawai Madhopur.
