Gameplay[edit]

Plot[edit]

Nanotransen and such.

Game modes[edit]

  • Alien is partially based on the Alien franchise and the xenomorphs. Several players are randomly selected at the start of the round to be aliens. The aliens are tasked with destroying the the station's AI and killing the heads of staff while protecting the queen alien and the human crew is tasked with protecting targets of the aliens and killing the queen. If the queen dies, the humans win. If the heads of staff die and if the AI is disabled, the aliens win.
  • Changeling makes one player a changeling, an alien creature that can take on the identities of its victims. The changeling's goal is to attack and absorb the DNA of the human crew and escape on the escape shuttle after collecting a set amount of DNA while avoiding being spotted and/or killed by the human crew. The crew's goal is to find and stop the changeling from completing its goal.
  • Mixed picks four enemies from the other modes and mixes those enemies and their various goals together.
  • Operative mode makes two to five players operatives of the Syndicate who are attempting to get a disk away from the captain and crew to use it to detonate a nuke and obliterate the station. If the Syndicate operatives get the disk and destroy the station, the operative team wins. If the escape shuttle leaves with the disk, the crew wins. If the disk remains on the station when the shuttle leaves but the nuke is undetonated, it is a no-win.
  • Revolution makes one to three players secretly revolutionary leaders. Their goal is to indoctrinate other crew members by making them revolutionaries via use of a flash device and to kill the heads of staff. If the heads of staff die, the revolutionaries win. If the revolutionary leaders die, the crew wins.
  • Secret picks a random mode but does not inform the players of what it is. In addition, random catastrophes and events (such as meteor storms and power outages) can spontaneously happen.
  • Traitor makes one or more players Syndicate agents and gives the player(s) a random objective which can be assassinating a specific crew member, stealing an item or items, forcing an evacuation of the station within a set time limit, destroying or deactivating all cyborgs on the station, or being the only one on the emergency shuttle when it leaves. The crew must discover who the traitors are and stop them. Unlike other game modes, traitors win individually, so while one traitor may be killed or stopped, another with a different goal may win.
  • Wizard mode makes one player a space wizard, possibly with a few other players as apprentices, whose goal is to steal or destroy something aboard the station while wreaking general havoc. The crew's goal is to kill the wizard and his apprentices. If the wizard and his apprentices are killed, the crew wins. If the wizard completes his goal and escapes, the wizard wins. If the shuttle leaves without the wizard completing his objective or the crew killing the wizard and his apprentices, it is a no-win.

Jobs[edit]

Space Station 13 contains twenty-nine different player roles.
