Solrad 9, also known as Explorer 37, was a satellite launched as part of the Solrad and Explorer programs.

[edit]Solrad 9 exhausted the gas supply for its attitude control system on February 25, 1974. The lack of attitude control made the satellite useless for science, so it was switched off.[1]
