Miss Ao Dai Vietnam (Vietnamese: Hoa khôi Áo dài Việt Nam) is a beauty contest held in Vietnam. It is responsible for selecting the country's representatives to the Miss World, Miss International, Miss Supranational pageants (amongst others). This pageant is unrelated to Miss Vietnam or Miss Vietnam World or Miss Universe Vietnam pageants.
History
[edit]Miss Ao Dai Vietnam is the first Vietnamese beauty contest that is organized in the format of a reality show to find out the best three faces to compete at three prestigious international beauty contests, including Miss World, Miss International and Miss Supranational. During 45-75 days of the reality show, contestants will receive instructions and trainings on communications, fitness, makeup, style, and etiquettes from leading experts, and compete with one another to be the winners. TV viewers can witness daily activities and the improvements of contestants through numerous challenges.
In 2014, The first Miss Ao Dai Vietnam pageant was organized. It was open for all girls aged between 18 and 25, including beauty queens at local contests. Auditions took place in Hanoi and HCMC on September 20 and September 21 respectively. The best 18 girls gathered at a Beauty Campus to be filmed in the reality show. A coronation night took place in January 5, 2015.
