This is an essay. It contains the advice or opinions of one or more Wikipedia contributors. This page is not an encyclopedia article, nor is it one of Wikipedia's policies or guidelines, as it has not been thoroughly vetted by the community. Some essays represent widespread norms; others only represent minority viewpoints. |
This page in a nutshell: There is a BIG difference between cyber vandalism and real-life vandalism |
NOTE: I always do short essays and stick things to the point.
How do I start it? Well, I stumbled upon my old pictured when I was a child, cute and chubby. Now, I'm only cute. No chubbiness whatsoever. But there was one thing that broke my heart since I loved my childhood (70-25-5) and that was a rude sentence. So rude that it was an insult. And that was done by my younger sibling.
What am I talking about? Here's the thing:
Wikipedia is a site on the Net, and a picture is a mere picture. If you vandalized it, those on the WP can be reverted by either rollback, Huggle, Twinkle, and any anti-vandalizer plus manually doing it. But on the picture, you can never remove it (unless it was the back side yet it doesn't alter the au naturale appearance but mine was at the front) by either eraser or liquid correction pen or tape. The former leaves the marks of a pencil and the latter makes things worse since it would ruin the picture more. Would you like your picture to be ruined by someone? Never.
