Miss America is the official video game of the Miss America pageant currently under development at Heavy Iron Studios and published by Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment. Curently, gameplay details are minimal, but the game will feature Kinect support, licensed characters from past Miss America pageants, including titleholders and will run on the CryEngine.
Development
[edit]On July 3, 2007, Activision had secured worldwide rights to publish video games based on the Miss America pageant, with a game originally in pre-production by Page 44 Studios for the Wii and PlayStation 2 consoles. However, Activision dropped the license for unknown reasons. On October 30, 2011, after 4 years, Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment picked up the Miss America license.
On December 5, 2013, developers Heavy Iron confirmed that the game is still in development amid cancellation rumors.
