Hello all,

I am a student at KU in Prof. Hoopes' class. As you probably know, we were given an assignment to create a Wikipedia entry related to the Maya. I want to create an entry centered around cave archaeology and the historical evidence provided by some caves. I have briefly looked up a few caves for good places to start. I would start a page titled "Maya Caves" and go into descriptions of some subcategories (e.g. Petén, Alta Verapaz, Yucatan) and describe a few particular caves as further subcategories of their respective regions (e.g.Hun Nal Ye, Candelaria, Balam Ná). Since there are so many caves I will choose a few interesting ones to complete the assignment, but most likely continue to add to others as my interest progresses. If anyone has any leads or suggestions, they would be greatly appreciated.

Hello again,

I have decided to narrow my focus to just Copan Area Caves, Boquerón in particular. I have some basic references and will have a draft of the entry posted on my talk page over the weekend.
