Fartak Moscow is a 5-a-side football club who play in the Friday League 2 at Goals Soccer Centre in Norwich.[1]
History[edit]
Founded as AEK Intercourse in September 2011, the club was renamed to Junior Dragons in October 2011, and finally to Fartak Moscow in November 2011. As founding members of the Friday League at Goals Norwich in 2011, the club saw little success in their first competitive season under captain Felix Dixey, finishing bottom of the table, and being relegated to League 1. The second season saw Fartak once again relegated into League 2, where they remain today. Recently, under the new captaincy of Seb Sanders, the team have seen much improvement, and are regularly winning games, chiefly thanks to the profound goalscoring talent of Lewis Dorling. Midway through their time in Five-a-side football Fartak Moscow hit the doldrums and could not find a win anywhere. Subsequently Felix Dixey was stripped of the captaincy and his Managerial duties. Since this decision Fartak Moscow has been on the rise and have finished an unprecented 4th in this years league 2 at goals soccer centre Norwich.
The Greatest Night in the History of Fartak Moscow[edit]
The 24th of November 2012 saw Fartak Moscow's greatest ever night in football. They started the night with a hard fought victory over Ings Fc winning 6-4 after a stunning late goal by Scott Wigglesworth secured the match for Fartak. Despite much bickering by Felix Dixey directed mainly at Alex Simpson the team won. Later that night Fartak played Norchesterpool Athletic and recorded their most convincing win ever winning 16-4 and playing the best game of football that Martin Tyler and Alan Smith say they have ever seen. Although the Fartak players were drawing funny things on the panels around the pitch they still won and even resorted to mocking the other team, with Lewis Dorling skilling the same player 5 times and Alex Simpson Scoring a goal! This was the greatest night in English football and probably the world.

Fartak Moscow has many fans mainly based in Norwich and Norfolk however there are some located further afield.
Rivalries[edit]
Fartak Moscow's largest rivalry is against Ings F.C. when a match between the two clubs is played they contest the Thickthorn Roundabout Cup. Fartak Moscow boast the better record of the two clubs winning 4, drawing 3 and losing just one of the 8 games played between the clubs. Rivalries previously existed with the Emile Heskey Youth Academy and Moby Dick FC both of these clubs have since folded. Aswell as this there was a great rivalry between Fartak Moscow and FC Big Guns and when Fartak triumphed 9-6 FC Big Guns was shut down by its owners in shame.
Scandal[edit]
While Fartak have been playing at goals they have often had a 'certain referee'. Other teams have often questioned his decisions while they have been playing Fartak as they often appear to be biased. This referee has often been heard telling the Fartak players 'any contact and go down, I will give free kick.' This was brought to the attention of Goals Soccer Centre but no further action was taken.

Notable Former Players[edit]
The following players previously been members of Fartak Moscow:
Eddie Smith - Eddie joined the club in 2011 and became an integral part of the squad, with unique creativity and goalscoring ability on the pitch. He eventually left the team, moving to FC Moby Dick, a club formed by Lewis Dorling when he also temporarily left Fartak Moscow. Since the disbanding of Moby Dick after Dorling rejoined the club, Eddie has been called upon several times for Fartak Moscow matches, however he is not yet considered a full member of the club.- James Baxter - James joined the club in 2011, playing the striker role in the absence of Lewis Dorling. However, he was never able to make a significant positive impact on the club. He eventually left Fartak to form his own team, FC Big Guns. However this project never took off, with the team seeing constant failures, including a devastating loss to Fartak Moscow. Big Guns eventually disbanded, and James no longer plays professional 5-a-side football.
- Sam Moore - Sam was an original founding member of Fartak Moscow (then AEK Intercourse). His time at the club was hugely successful; his natural talent quickly became obvious, with consistently good performances in crucial matches for the team. However, a minor head injury in 2011 put him out of the game, and ultimately led to his retirement from 5-a-side football.
Notable Injuries[edit]
There have been quite a few notable injuries throughout the life of Fartak Moscow. The first being when Felix Laing enterd into a brave challenge back in 2011 and broke his toe. He was subsequently injured for four weeks. Secondly Seb Sanders was injured during the same match when he fell to the floor. He was only out of action for a couple of days. Felix Dixey has been injured recently after breaking his collar bone while he was playing rugby. He was injured for five weeks but came back with a vengeance becoming part of Fartak's greatest ever night in football when they won two games in a row. Alex Simpson was also out injured for a few games when he required a colonic irragation on the pitch. The match was subsequently abandoned due to flooding.
Transfers[edit]
Since its founding there have been a few transfers too and from Fartak Moscow. Early on in their history Lewis Dorling left the club on a free transfer and established the club Moby Dick FC. Despite promises to leave the players at Fartak Moscow alone, Dorling returned to raid his former club of creative midfielder Eddie Smith who was signed for an undisclosed fee believed to be in the region of around £0.51. After the collapse of Moby Dick FC as it fell into administration and then liquidation Dorling returned to the club on a free and has played a major part in their success ever since. The record transfer received for a Fartak Moscow player was £0.30 paid by Ings FC for Arran Wilkinson.
