I cannot believe that someone took this literally. Do I make the impression as if I would condone this behaviour? Something interesting happened: There was a discussion about topic A. During the discussion, someone just implemented the discussed change. Asked to revert and join the discussion, he answered No. Brought up on WP:ANI, some people discussed A (no surprise), others couldn't see the problem. The editor who did the contested change then asked that his version should be regarded as the new precendent and recommends that the discussion should shift to A. It seems that he gets his way.

The moral of the story: If you want a change, just ignore the community and do it.

Oh, I forgot something: I was talking about an admin; for anyone else, this would be edit warring of course.
