For the death of Ithobaal, secondary sources are unclear. Josephus’s quotation of Menander seems to present the siege on Tyre lasting for thirteen years then immediately listing his successor, then their successor, etc. That seems suggestive of his death, removal, or removal by death (that seems to be the presumed manner of removal in Menander’s Tyrian King lists).
