Fun while it lasted. Sort of? I give up. They can go ahead and re-write all articles I've written in Russian nationalistic POV now. Well, that's what they have been doing anyways. Over the course of my editorship in Wikipedia I have seen so many attempts by nationalists to remove content related to the Circassian genocide and censor it while other attempts to belittle and remove content about Circassian culture were made. I was one of the few people trying to stand against that, yet for doing exactly that, I am ironically blamed by a mysterious IP for being a POV-pusher. They state I am "dedicated to the Circassian cause" - whatever that means. I am, or rather I was, dedicated to help develop Wikipedia in the field.

They cite the fact that I create stubs for genocidal commanders as proof that I am a POV pusher. I don't understand the logic behind that accusation, as I'm simply adding content using reliable sources, as I want them to be known, but I'm sorry I don't want to spend my time writing details about some general. That falls under Russian history and it's not in my interest or qualification to do so. I only know about Circassian history, because I read books about it, not about Russian history.

People in historical revisionist mindset are usually the same people who defend those such as Grigory Zass and try to make them look like saints by censoring their crimes. No difference from Neo-Nazis. Literally.

Anyways, of course, my "guilt" is not proven, as I am not guilty, but I am honestly sick with dealing with all this. And so I say, now they can freely do their stuff. I don't care anymore. Never have I ever aimed to make POV edits in Wikipedia, things I wrote were based on sources. I am fully comfortable with this and God knows I am right. I know I am right, and that's enough, to be honest. The ones who have accused me, however, I'm afraid, have different intentions, and it's sad to see that people don't seem to realise.

Honestly, Wikipedia would have been such an awesome site if it wasn't for editors who push nationalistic POVs, genocide deniers, and those who defend them.

I do hope even after I leave, neutrality is maintained, and the pages do not fall in the hands of nationalists trying to erase the crimes committed. AdigabrekTalk Circassia 17:17, 8 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Circassians in Libya moved to draftspace

[edit]

An article you recently created, Circassians in Libya, is not suitable as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page. You added a couple of short citations to that article (Белевич 1910), but didn't provide the full citations. Could you add them please?

PS, you can also install User:Svick/HarvErrors.js as explained here to be made aware of these issues in the future. Headbomb {t · c · p · b} 02:20, 30 January 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Correction to previous election announcement

[edit]

Just a quick correction to the prior message about the 2022 MILHIST coordinator election! I (Hog Farm) didn't proofread the message well enough and left out a link to the election page itself in this message. The voting will occur here; sorry about the need for a second message and the inadvertent omission from the prior one. MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 17:40, 15 September 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Six months have passed

[edit]

Hello Adigabrek, I hope you've been well. I wanted to notify you that six months have passed since your block, so now you can appeal it per WP:STANDARDOFFER. This is a Wikipedia practice that gives blocked users the chance of coming back to edit. You basically must have waited six months since your block and not have attempted to edit the English Wikipedia ever since with another accounts (though if you did positive contributions to other projects this can help you out). I recommend reading the essay, it's short.

Once (if, which they did in your case) these conditions are met, you're allowed to make a post at the administrators' noticeboard (WP:ANI). As I've understood the process (have in mind I am not an admin), you would get unblocked on the condition that you only edit your talk page and WP:ANI. You'd have to notify an admin for your unblock, most likely the one that blocked you. You then can write a request for your unblock, in which you'd have to show you understood the reasoning of your block and that you will not repeat the behavior that provoked it again. I would also advice you not to get emotional or defensive, apologies barely matter there though you'd clearly have to show you've understood that editing with two accounts simultaneously in Wikipedia is not allowed; you can also explain why did you end up doing it and why it doesn't have to happen again.

I don't even know if you even wish to keep editing Wikipedia after so long but I believe you were a productive and valuable editor and I still regard your block as unfair. Your block was not based on your actions being harmful or disruptive for Wikipedia so I believe there is a high chance your unblock request will be successful. If you wish to attempt this, you can ask me anything you want and I will gladly assist you through this process. And if you do not care anymore, know it was a pleasure reading your niche Circassian articles. Hopefully I will hear from you again. Regards, Super Ψ Dro 20:37, 15 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]
