Hi, and thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. It appears that you recently tried to give Anderson Vital da Silva a different title by copying its content and pasting either the same content, or an edited version of it, into another page with a different name. This is known as a "cut and paste move", and it is undesirable because it splits the page history, which is needed for attribution and various other purposes. Instead, the software used by Wikipedia has a feature that allows pages to be moved to a new title together with their edit history.

In most cases, once your account is four days old and has ten edits, you should be able to move an article yourself using the "Move" tab at the top of the page. This both preserves the page history intact and automatically creates a redirect from the old title to the new. If you cannot perform a particular page move yourself this way (e.g. because a page already exists at the target title), please follow the instructions at requested moves to have it moved by someone else. Also, if there are any other pages that you moved by copying and pasting, even if it was a long time ago, please list them at Wikipedia:Cut and paste move repair holding pen. Thank you. If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Diego Rosa requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a person or group of people, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, contest the deletion by clicking on the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". Doing so will take you to the talk page where you will find a pre-formatted place for you to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. You can also visit the page's talk page directly to give your reasons, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, you can contact one of these administrators to request that the administrator userfy the page or email a copy to you. Bluefist talk 22:45, 5 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Addition of soccer players

[edit]

We have a policy here on Wikipedia to only allow notable people and things. We do have an exception for sports players, but they have to be on professional teams, CR Vasco da Gama is not a professional team, so sorry, but please stop making these unless you have verifiable content. The article Diogo José Gonçalves da Silva has been proposed for deletion because, under Wikipedia policy, all newly created biographies of living persons must have at least one reference to a reliable source that directly supports material in the article.

Once you have provided at least one reliable source, you may remove the {{prod blp}} tag. Please do not remove the tag unless the article is sourced. If you cannot provide such a source within ten days, the article may be deleted, but you can request that it be undeleted when you are ready to add one. —KuyaBriBriTalk 22:53, 5 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. In your recent article edits, you've added some links to disambiguation pages. Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. For more information, see the FAQ or drop a line at the DPL WikiProject.

Hi BalbinoFelipe, I noticed that you reverted my copyedit on the Vasco da Gama page. As it stands it is not able to be understood by someone who reads English. I think the translation software has not done an adequate job in this case. Would you not like to see the page readable in English? If you are amenable to this, I am sure we can come to a compromise so all the details are still there for you. Let me know what you think - please. Kind regards, Myrtle. The article Maicon Assis has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Article about a footballer who fails WP:GNG and who has not played in a fully pro league.

While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Thanks for contributing the new article Jonathan Marlone. However, one of Wikipedia's core policies is that material must be verifiable, by being clearly attributed to reliable sources. Please help by adding more sources to the article you created, and/or by clarifying how the sources already given support the material (see here for how to do inline referencing). Many thanks! PS If you need any help, you can look at Help:Contents/Editing Wikipedia or ask at Wikipedia:New contributors' help page, or just ask me. GiantSnowman 15:06, 2 November 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Do not create, add, or restore hoaxes to Wikipedia, such as you did with the article Juan Emanuel Uriaz. Hoaxes are caught and marked for deletion shortly after they are created. If you are interested in how accurate Wikipedia is, a more constructive test method would be to try to find inaccurate statements that are already in Wikipedia – and then to correct them if possible. Please do not disrupt Wikipedia. Feel free to take a look at the five pillars of Wikipedia to learn more about this project and how you can contribute constructively. Thank you. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail.

If you wish to participate in the 2016 election, please review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page. MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 22:08, 21 November 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Please, when there's no fixed numbers for a squad, divide the players by proper positions, like I did there. Ordering initially by positions (GK, CB, FB, MF and FW), then by names. Thank you, MYS77 01:10, 15 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Ok. Now the squad has fixed numbers.

Sources

[edit]

Hello, can you please add clear sources to 2018 CR Vasco da Gama season? There appear to be none. There is an 'external link' but that means 'suggestions for further reading' and it looks like you tried to add a reference and something went wrong. Best wishes, Boleyn (talk) 13:22, 23 December 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Can you please respond? Boleyn (talk) 08:10, 7 April 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Appealing the block

Request reason:

Appealing this block because, first of all, I want to continue to editing, and, I was blocked due to lack of communicate, but how can I will be able to learn and amend my problems of communicate since I was blocked?

Decline reason:

this account has been active for nine years, which is long enough to learn how things work here. And you can edit your talk page while blocked. You could start by answering the questions above on this page.----Anthony Bradbury"talk" 18:19, 25 May 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Request reason:

I already answered all the questions above, as recommended. I don't know more to do to be unblocked, because doing more than that (adding sources on articles, for example), only if I will be unblocked

Decline reason:

I am declining this request. You acknowledged the questions above, but you don't really answer them. You will need to clearly explain that you understand what you are being told, by telling us in your own words what you have been told, and tell us what types of edits you want to make if you are unblocked. 331dot (talk) 08:43, 29 May 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Request reason:

I said on the aswers that, as soon as possible, the citations, references and sources will be posted, and this was also the reason given to justify my blocking. I have tried to answer the questions asked in the clearest way possible, even the issues outdated, and even not being able to respond directly by being blocked, not even going to user talk pages (less mine). I really don't know what else to do to get unblocked. And my only method of communication is to open block appeals, which annoys all, especially me.

Decline reason:

No. References, sources, etc. must be included in the article at the time it is first created. Why did you not do this, is spite of multiple requests on this page to do so? And why did you repeatedly decline to answer perfectly reasonable questions, also on this page? ----Anthony Bradbury"talk" 18:18, 3 June 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Request reason:

Well, I understand the reason for the block already. That appeared this in my first attempt to edit after the block, and after was better explained. And I have no problem to admit that I messed up and made a mistake about it, and that was something that I admitted already. Since then, I have followed the guidelines left here, and with this even amending and correcting my lack of knowledge about communication that I talk about above. This is my first block. I don't think that it is fair that my first block is treated with so inflexibly. If at least my case is about vandalism or bad faith... But... Well, I was blocked 1 month ago. I would like then to know when I will be blocked.

Decline reason:

Procedural decline only. This unblock request has been open for more than two weeks but has not proven sufficiently convincing for any reviewing administrator to take action. You are welcome to request a new block review if you substantially reword your request. Yamla (talk) 12:09, 30 June 2018 (UTC)[reply]

(b) what is your understanding of wp:verifiability, WP:sources and WP:notability? Please, give detailed answer so that we can be convinced that you understand those issues.

Request reason:

Answering the questions of Vanjagenije (talk) (See also) : (a) how (exactly) do you plan to change your behavior if unblocked? : – According to the informations, I'm blocked because of the communication difficulties and the absence of posting the sources in the editions. So, most of all, I'll be more accessible to communications (what I show on last months, with the blocking case) and sources posts. : (b) what is your understanding of wp:verifiability, WP:sources and WP:notability? Please, give detailed answer so that we can be convinced that you understand those issues. : – About these matters, the analysis of sources is fundamental to the credibility not only of Wikipedia, but also of any work that involves information. From this enters the commitment reported on the previous answer. I'm waiting answers soon.

Decline reason:

This is in no way convincing. Your answer to the first question gives no details of how you intend to be "more accessible to communications", and I can't even parse your answer to the second question, which doesn't appear to touch on the key policies of verifiability, sourcing and notability at all. Request reason:

Answering Yunshui (See also)
(a) "Your answer to the first question gives no details of how you intend to be 'more accessible to communications'"
– Well, at the previous answer I gave as an example these communications about the block that I'm having with different users. This, consequently, would apply in other contexts, such as edits. Moreover, this block should be about 7, 8 months, and yet, of course within my availability, I'm at hand of conversation, not because it would be convenient to me, but because of my propensity to dialogue.
(b) "I can't even parse your answer to the second question, which doesn't appear to touch on the key policies of verifiability, sourcing and notability at all."
– About the second question, I could do an article about it, but I'll summarize it to not be long: above what is on these pages cited there, Wikipedia, as encyclopedia that is, is a page for gathering information already investigated and storing it, but it's not a page for exploring and research, so Wikipedia itself is not a source, due its encyclopedic characteristics and also because it's a open broad site. So, it's fundamental the post of sources of the topics for Wikipedia's reliability as a collection.
I'm waiting answers soon.

Decline reason:

This is your 7th block appeal, it's been open for over 2 weeks with no administrator willing to unblock you, and you still don't seem to have a grasp of Wikipedia's policies, much less being able to communicate it in something we can understand. For this reason, I am pulling your talkpage access as the number of appeals is excessive without getting the point. -- Amanda (aka DQ) 04:45, 11 January 2019 (UTC)[reply]
