Switching regional varieties of English

[edit]

Hi, and welcome to Wikipedia. I see you have been doing a lot of work to improve and update Meitetsu-related articles, but I note that you have also been changing occurrences of "railway" to "railroad" in a lot of cases. You may not be aware, but this is covered in the Wikipedia:Manual of Style, and especially the section at WP:RETAIN, which outlines how we standardize with the existing forms and spelling used in articles. I recommend reading through the guidelines before making any more changes, as arbitrarily changing language varieties repeatedly is a real no-no, and could actually get you blocked. Sorry to sound harsh, but it will save you problems in the future. Cheers. --DAJF (talk) 11:30, 2 February 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Formatting for private line names

[edit]

Hi. Sorry to bother you again, but it would be a great help if you could stick to the general format we use on Wikipedia for private line names including the operator's name, i.e. "Meitetsu Komaki Line", and not simply "Komaki Line". Maybe they use a different style on Japanese Wikipedia, but we are trying to maintain a standardized format here. Thanks. --DAJF (talk) 10:58, 25 February 2015 (UTC)[reply]

I understand. --ButuCC (talk) 11:11, 25 February 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page. Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Meitetsu, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Nisshin Station. Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.
