November 2011[edit]

Hello, and welcome! Although everyone is welcome to contribute, at least one of your recent edits, such as the one you made to File:ChristineQuinn.jpg with this edit, did not appear to be constructive, and has been reverted or removed. Thank you! Slon02 (talk) 21:32, 23 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Welcome to Wikipedia. Everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia. However, the username you have chosen (CouncilCommunications) seems to imply that you are editing on behalf of a group, company or website.

There are two issues with this:

  1. It is possible that you have a conflict of interest. In keeping with Wikipedia's neutral point of view policy, you must exercise great caution when editing on topics related to your organization or adding links to its website.
  2. Your account cannot represent a group of people. You may wish to create a new account with a username that represents only you. Alternatively, you may consider changing your username to avoid giving the impression that your personal account is being used for promotional purposes.

Regardless of whether you change your name or create a new account, you are not exempted from the guidelines concerning editing where you have a conflict of interest. For information on how to contribute to Wikipedia when you have a conflict of interest, please see our frequently asked questions for organizations. Thank you. -- Luke (Talk) 21:33, 23 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]

This is your last warning; the next time you disrupt Wikipedia, as you did at Christine Quinn with this edit, you may be blocked from editing without further notice. Slon02 (talk) 21:43, 23 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]

I would suggest that any further changes to the article may be better addressed via the article's talk page Talk:Christine Quinn so your contributions can now be seen in a collaborative nature. — billinghurst sDrewth 02:17, 24 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]
I suspect this may be a coordinated effort by Quinn's staff to sanitize the article (she's seen as a leading candidate for mayor next year). I have filed a report at WP:BLP/N#Christine Quinn. Daniel Case (talk) 17:53, 24 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]
