If you read this page on the website of globally-recognised music magazine, Mojo, you'll see that my addition of Aberystwyth band The Lowland Hundred to the Music section on the Aberystwyth page is arguably the most relevant addition to the entire section.
This is an Aberystwyth band making internationally-acclaimed records about Aberystwyth: how is this not relevant to a music section on a Wikipedia page about Aberystwyth?
Regarding your marking of the edit as spam... Notice that I linked to the band's official website, rather than something like the article above which, while giving plenty of context and justification for my addition of the link, nevertheless makes subjective quality judgments which promote both the band and their products.

The article will be discussed at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/The Lowland Hundred (band) until a consensus is reached, and anyone, including you, is welcome to contribute to the discussion. The nomination will explain the policies and guidelines which are of concern. The discussion focuses on high-quality evidence and our policies and guidelines.
Users may edit the article during the discussion, including to improve the article to address concerns raised in the discussion. However, do not remove the article-for-deletion notice from the top of the article until the discussion has finished.
