October 2023[edit]

Information icon Before adding a category to an article, as you did to Paul Giamatti, please make sure that the subject of the article really belongs in the category that you specified according to Wikipedia's categorization guidelines. The category being added must already exist, and must be supported by the article's verifiable content. Categories may be removed if they are deemed incorrect for the subject matter. Thank you. Hi, please refrain from repeatedly making this edit:

- It is introducing the same typo to "escalate"
- You are almost copying the paragraph from the source word for word which violates WP:PLAG. If you'd like to include your edit please rephrase it in your own words so that it flows well in the context of the Wikipedia article.

Merlin, I will change what I wrote so that it does not violate the rules.
I didn't change the word, it happened automatically during my editing, I don't know why. Ghsuturi (talk) 13:18, 13 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Stop icon
You have been blocked indefinitely from editing for obvious WP:GAMING and likely socking.
If you think there are good reasons for being unblocked, please review Wikipedia's guide to appealing blocks, then add the following text to the bottom of your talk page: {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}.  Ponyobons mots 20:41, 24 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]

unblock[edit]

This user's unblock request has been reviewed by an administrator, who accepted the request.

Ghsuturi (block logactive blocksglobal blockscontribsdeleted contribsfilter logcreation logchange block settingsunblockcheckuser (log))

Request reason:

1. I admit, my choice to make a lot of quick edits and then edit on controversial topics was a mistake, and I understand the WP:GAMING rules as well. I'm sorry for that and sorry for everything it caused. 2. I'm not a sock. I do not and have or not had other users on the English Wikipedia.

3. I am not asking for complete release from blocking, but only from the blocking to edit unprotected articles. 4. I request a release so that I can make small edits in the articles where I find mistakes. (I translate articles from English to Hebrew, and sometimes there are small mistakes that I correct). and create/add categories, which constitutes most of my work in the Hebrew Wikipedia, and can be here as well

5. In order to prevent a repetition of these violations, I suggest: Evaluative blocking of protected/controversial articles, regardless of the amount of edits (I would love for this limit to be time-dependent to allow me to become an active Wikipedia editor, but I'm not going to argue about that). Blocking from creating articles on controversial topics. Any violation of one of these rules in the coming year will lead to my immediate block.

Accept reason:

You've already have your extended confirmed user right removed, and you seem to understand why making bot-like edits to get that right was a bad idea. It seems reasonable to give you a second chance to make useful edits in uncontroversial topics. However, you should be aware that third chances are harder to get on English Wikipedia. After you make 500 useful edits, you can manually request the extended confirmed right at WP:PERM. You should also read through Wikipedia:Contentious topics and our core content policies (and the other policies linked from those pages). Yes, that's a lot of reading, but you can't robotically blast your way through Wikipedia permissions at hyperspeed. That's why it takes 500 edits and 30 days to become extended confirmed. • Note for reviewing admin: I'm fine with an unblock here if the appeal is satisfactory. As Hemiauchenia pointed out at the relevant AN/I thread, Ghsuturi is a regular editor at he.wiki, so my concerns regarding socking are not as strong as when I blocked the account, leaving this as a WP:GAMING issue only.-- Ponyobons mots 15:31, 25 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]

ArbCom 2023 Elections voter message[edit]

Hello! Voting in the 2023 Arbitration Committee elections is now open until 23:59 (UTC) on Monday, 11 December 2023. All eligible users are allowed to vote. Users with alternate accounts may only vote once.

The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to impose binding solutions to disputes between editors, primarily for serious conduct disputes the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the authority to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail.

If you wish to participate in the 2023 election, please review the candidates and submit your choices on the voting page. If you no longer wish to receive these messages, you may add {{NoACEMM}} to your user talk page. MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 00:58, 28 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]
