DYK for List of Green Bay Packers NFL All-Decade Team selections[edit]
On 13 May 2024, Did you know was updated with a fact from the article List of Green Bay Packers NFL All-Decade Team selections, which you recently created, substantially expanded, or brought to good article status. The fact was ... that at least one person on every NFL All-Decade Team has played for the Green Bay Packers, although one of those players was only with the Packers for one season? The nomination discussion and review may be seen at Template:Did you know nominations/List of Green Bay Packers NFL All-Decade Team selections. You are welcome to check how many pageviews the nominated article or articles got while on the front page (here's how, List of Green Bay Packers NFL All-Decade Team selections), and the hook may be added to the statistics page after its run on the Main Page has completed. Finally, if you know of an interesting fact from another recently created article, then please feel free to suggest it on the Did you know talk page.

Round count in early drafts[edit]
Hey Gonzo. I was working on User:Hey man im josh/Detroit Lions draft history and I noticed that the list of rounds in Green Bay Packers draft history is incorrect. See my change to the Lions draft here. I made notes about why the number of rounds changed. Your tables breaking down the picks at Green Bay Packers draft picks (1936–1969) already use round 31 and 32 when appropriate. Hey man im josh (talk) 14:55, 23 May 2024 (UTC)
- Hey man im josh thanks for catch, I made the changes. My source for the number of rounds is confusing, it lists out 20 and 30, but does note the practice from 1938 to 1944 of skipping rounds 2 and 4. Weird. I like how everything is coming together with the Lions' picks. Ready to see them at FLC soon! « Gonzo fan2007 (talk) @ 15:19, 23 May 2024 (UTC)
- I happened to notice something was wrong when doing the Lions list and did a bit of digging. Those notes in my sandbox are unofficial, but they do perfectly explain the approach that was taken. While not RS, I do like to use Pro Sports Transactions to compare against other sources sometimes, as they do actually document a fair bit that others don't. Problem is it's mostly maintained by one guy who's not classified as a subject matter expert. Never the less, still useful! I understand why they said it's 20 or 30 rounds, since each team would apparently have that many picks anyways, but practically speaking we now know that's not how it actually went. I was just thinking about how the NFL gives comp picks at the end of a round instead of having separate comp pick rounds between and after the last several rounds. Ahh, just depends on how they wanna say their rounds are done lol. But yeah, thank you about the Lions lists! Progress is being made, even if not super fast. I'll have one at least prepped and ready to go as my next FL after one of my current two (with enough supports already!) pass. Hey man im josh (talk) 15:24, 23 May 2024 (UTC)

Supplemental picks[edit]
Hey Gonzo. I was working on the Lions draft articles using yours as the templates. I noticed that you listed in Green Bay Packers draft history and Green Bay Packers draft picks (1970–present) that the 1998 supplemental draft pick of Mike Wahle caused the loss of the team's second-round pick in 1998. I think you made a typo and should be noting the loss of the pick under the 1999 draft table. The picks from supplemental drafts are taken from the next draft, but I can absolutely see how this mistake was made considering GB had no second-round pick in the 1998 draft (traded pick #29 and #60 to the Dolphins for pick #19). This also means that your note on the main history page will need to be tweaked. Note this link from the PFHOF which recaps the 1999 draft. Hey man im josh (talk) 16:03, 27 May 2024 (UTC)
