Notice about user page[edit]

Hello Gurther. I'd like to make you aware of the user page guidelines. So per these guidelines, you can't use the user page to soapbox, spread propaganda, post offensive material and your user page is not allowed to look like a Wikipedia article. So please replace the content with more appropriate content for an user page. Thank you. StephenMacky1 (talk) 13:00, 18 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]

ive read the guidelines and almost everything i have is not offensive and it sticks to guidelines, the only rule im particularly breaking is how it looks like a wiki page, but a quick reminder that this is a collection of quotes from several known Macedonian revolutionaries, any reader can easily tell the difference between an article and my talk page. I will attempt to add more stuff and make it less like a wiki but for now it will stay like this (currently planning to update it to feature more stuff pretty soon). Gurther (talk) 14:03, 18 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Nope. You're using the user page to soapbox and promote fringe POVs. Calling another ethnic group "fascist" doesn't sound appropriate to me. I'm aware that you are offended that the Wikipedia articles do not align with your fringe POVs here. So please remove it all at once, I won't ask again. StephenMacky1 (talk) 14:21, 18 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]
i've called Bulgaria fascist once during their occupation of Macedonian since they were with the fascist party and actively helped the fascist along with the fact that Tzar Boris saluted the nazis with the iconic nazi salute, it's not controversial nor fringe to call that period of Bulgaria as fascist, i do not label Bulgarians as fascist, what you're doing is WP:ACCUSING and not assuming good faith, these aren't fringe views but simply opinions, and should not be accepted as facts, also please read the guidelines since nowhere is it stated that "propaganda" or fringe views are not allowed, but as I've said before im currently busy with foreign stuff and as soon as im free ill make it more neutral so please be patient as everyone has a life outside Wikipedia, thank you for your patiences. Gurther (talk) 14:34, 18 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]
"The Bulgarian fascists are afraid of admitting this point so instead they forge documents" sounds like you weren't referring to only that period. Propaganda falls under WP:SOAPBOX. Fringe views do not align with the goals of Wikipedia as an encyclopedia. StephenMacky1 (talk) 14:51, 18 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]
oh yea that, well my bad on that ill fix it, but one things for sure is that this isn't propaganda, a propaganda is a material based on forgeries or lies and these are documented cases and should be kept, i will be altering that line but pretty much everything else will stay (i might also add a little bit more about me) Gurther (talk) 16:23, 18 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]
All right. You know what. I'll let you keep some of the quotes, but only those which are cited to reliable sources (ex. Tatarchev's quote). Also add {{User page}} on the top of your page, so that others can see that it's an user page (per WP:UPYES). StephenMacky1 (talk) 16:39, 18 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Zahara Monique Bassett[edit]

I don’t understand why you think six citations on a fairly short article needs more citations so I am going to delete the tag. I prefer you tag specific parts of the article that you feel need a citation so people have an idea what to look for. BostonMensa (talk) 20:09, 29 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Hello BostonMensa i advise expanding the article a little bit more so it isn't extremely short, this is why i added the tag although if you believe a different tag needs to be added to explain the issue feel free to add it. i do not mind with the removal of the tag. Gurther (talk) 20:27, 29 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Then tag the article as a stub. By putting an add citations tag, someone could simply add references but not content.
Alright ill change the tag. Gurther (talk) 20:55, 29 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Introduction to contentious topics[edit]

You have recently edited a page related to Eastern Europe or the Balkans, a topic designated as contentious. This standard message is designed as an introduction to contentious topics and does not imply that there are any issues with your editing.

A special set of rules applies to certain topic areas, which are referred to as contentious topics. These are specially-designated topics that tend to attract more persistent disruptive editing than the rest of the project and have been designated as contentious topics by the Arbitration Committee. When editing a contentious topic, Wikipedia’s norms and policies are more strictly enforced and Wikipedia administrators have special powers in order to reduce disruption to the project.

Within contentious topics, editors should edit carefully and constructively, refrain from disrupting the encyclopedia, and:

  • adhere to the purposes of Wikipedia;
  • comply with all applicable policies and guidelines;
  • follow editorial and behavioural best practice;
  • comply with any page restrictions in force within the area of conflict; and
  • refrain from gaming the system.

Editors are advised to err on the side of caution if unsure whether making a particular edit is consistent with these expectations. If you have any questions about contentious topics procedures you may ask them at the arbitration clerks' noticeboard or you may learn more about this contentious topic here. You may also choose to note which contentious topics you know about by using the {{Ctopics/aware}} template.

Im already aware of how controversial these topics are. Gurther (talk) 18:12, 15 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Ivan Vazov[edit]

Please use the following for your own research with enough sources; Ivan Vazov. Unclear why you are creating articles claiming he is Macedonian.

BR Nikolay.rusev (talk) 17:44, 15 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Hello Nikolay.rusev this is a user page, check WP:UPNOT, an editor on his own user page has the right to write whatever he wishes on his own user page (except for extreme beliefs such as supporting pedophilia, using copyrighted images, harassing another user, linking stuff to other websites and more) this is why in the beginning of my user page there is a tag saying "this is a user page" which means these aren't claims but just the belief of the editor. Also User Page =/= Article thats why each user page has User:[their name here]. Hope this cleans up the confusion. Cheers. Gurther (talk) 18:11, 15 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]
No confusion. What makes you believe that since you have the reliable sources in-front of you?
BR, Nikolay.rusev (talk) 18:33, 15 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]
The author has expressed a private Macedonian identity and has supported the claim of Samuil being a Macedonian, some macedonian sources have also mentioned the Macedonian origins within Vazov and back then a Bulgarian identity was a mixture of Turkish and Russin philia with barely a coherent Bulgarian identity, keep in mind these are just beliefs of me and this User page isn't an article. Speedy deletion declined: Atanas Gradoborliyata[edit]

Hello Gurther, and thanks for patrolling new pages! I am just letting you know that I declined the speedy deletion of Atanas Gradoborliyata, a page you tagged for speedy deletion, because of the following concern: The article makes a credible assertion of importance or significance, sufficient to pass A7. You may wish to review the Criteria for Speedy Deletion before tagging further pages. Thank you. Ivanvector (Talk/Edits) 13:04, 28 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Hello Ivanvector, i added the tag since there is no mentions of him anywhere besides a small number of Bulgarian books, but if you think it's not enough for a deletion then its fine. Gurther (talk) 16:05, 28 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]
The article indicates that he was a high-ranking member of a revolutionary movement, which seems good enough to me as a credible claim of significance that it passes A7. You could try WP:AFD, but I also added a banner to the page indicating that there's a better-written article on the Bulgarian Wikipedia which we could use info and sources from, but I'm not familiar enough with Cyrillic languages to try myself. He also has a page on the Macedonian Wikipedia, mk:Атанас Градоборлијата. If you do read Bulgarian, there are a couple of old magazines linked from the image description page for the image in the article which you might be able to pull information from, too. Ivanvector (Talk/Edits) 16:14, 28 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Ivanvector, i can read both Bulgarian and Macedonian, i might consider expanding the article in the future since you consider it good enough for it to be not deleted, also the article doesnt say he was high ranking but mentioned how he had his own band/cheta (cheta is a balkan term used for a small division similar to a Platoon) which wasn't high ranking, but i understand your opinions, and since you bring up a good argument i do not plan to apply further complaints for the deletion. Gurther (talk) 16:32, 28 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Tryve Tollefsbol moved to draftspace[edit]

An article you recently created, Tryve Tollefsbol, is not suitable as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page. Mccapra (talk) 20:54, 13 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Mccapra, i apologize for the confusion but i didn't create it, it appeared on my page curation tool, im un-experienced with these types of issues so if you can please place it in a draft or delete it, i have no issues with either option Gurther (talk) 20:58, 13 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]
sorry not sure why the tool messaged you as well as the article creator. Mccapra (talk) 21:00, 13 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]
