Regarding Youtube's "joke"

Okay, whether or not YouTube will shut down or if it is only an April Fools prank is an unanswered question. YouTube may either shut down genuinely at midnight or make a public announcement that it is a joke. Neither has happened yet, so I wouldn't consider it a joke unless an official announcement is made. Then, what would we do if neither happens (i.e. YouTube remains alive after midnight and no public announcement is made)? I guess YouTube expects/expected that the short "Happy April Fools" note at the bottom of the video description was enough to convince everybody that it is a joke. I do agree, though, that the joke is well-executed; you might wonder for how long these two people can put up with reading all the text when it's, after all, just a joke. And the fact that the viewing count for the live feed has dropped significantly since it started, is another sign that it is a joke. I'll be very surprised if I wake up tomorrow (I'm at Central European Time) and find out that they have either shut down YouTube or made a public announcement, but let's see. I'm not going to start an edit war, so I'll let it be as it is right now. Cheers, HeyMid (contribs) 20:58, 1 April 2013 (UTC)
