Disambig pages and anthroponymy articles
[edit]Hi, Jessxenos. Re edits such as this one: note that there are separate projects for name articles and disambiguation pages. Name articles are not disambiguation pages. Sometimes short lists of name holders may be included in a disambiguation page, but those lists go at the bottom of the dab page, not at the top. Cheers! -- JHunterJ (talk) 17:42, 3 January 2010 (UTC)

2011 Four Nations Series listed at Redirects for discussion
[edit]An editor has asked for a discussion to address the redirect 2011 Four Nations Series. Since you had some involvement with the 2011 Four Nations Series redirect, you might want to participate in the redirect discussion (if you have not already done so). age template in non-US articles
[edit]Looking at this diff, I see that you added birth date and age templates for living ex-Governors-General. A nice touch, but the dates came out in the wrong format. The default output is in America format (m d, y), rather than International format (d m y), which is more appropriate for non-American subjects, as per the Manual of Style . Template:Birth_date_and_age provides instructions, but basically one appends "|mf=yes" or "|df=yes" to each use to make it clear which format is being used. Could you please select the appropriate format in what I imagine will be many future uses of this handy template, otherwise we end up with differing date formats within the same article. Thanks! --Pete (talk) 21:01, 8 December 2011 (UTC)

[edit]Hi. When you recently edited Power (name), you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Michael Power (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Deleting cited material without explanation
[edit]Hello, I'm Fayenatic london. I noticed that you recently removed some content from Lolita (given name) without explaining why. In the future, it would be helpful to others if you described your changes to Wikipedia with an accurate edit summary. If this was a mistake, don't worry; I have restored the removed content. If you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thanks. – Fayenatic London 11:25, 8 January 2016 (UTC)
- Also, please note that although the clause "may refer to" is used on disambiguation pages, it is not so relevant on articles about human names. These are different types of articles, see MOS:DABNAME.
- I noticed that you removed popularity information from some name pages. Have you been systematically removing that info? It is an accepted part of proper encyclopedic content about a name. If you are interested in improving coverage on names, please join WP:WikiProject Anthroponymy. Many such topics have been discussed there already, and you can search the talk page archives for them. – Fayenatic London 12:34, 8 January 2016 (UTC)
