John Dote', born June 7, 1955 in the Bronx, New York is a dynamic American recording producer, engineer, songwriter, drummer, keyboardist and record promoter who helped launch the multi platinum hit single "What Have You Done For Me Lately" by Janet Jackson as well as "Bad" by the king of pop Michael Jackson. Dote' revolutionized the 70's disco scene by introducing a new line-up format. He explored his capabilities to an extreme, even with the technology limitations of the early 70's, breaking ground, setting the new parameters for a new vein in disco music. In addition, he was also the creator and host of the hit television show "NightBeat In Las Vegas" which aired on The UPN - Screengems network which produced some of the biggest hits of all time including "Smooth" by Santana, "Oops I Did It Again" by Britney Spears, "Ice Cream" by Sara Mclachlan, "Millenium" by british pop star Robbie Williams and "Dogs Life" by The Kotton Mouth Kings. Demitrious Carramabellos of KLAV Radio stated on the airwaves that Dote is the "epitome" of Las Vegas. Ultimately what's most impressive about John Dote' isn't what he's been, but rather who he is. "The man's great heart and soul, his wit and wisdom".

Dote' was discovered in the early 70's by Warner Bros. legendary record executive and record promoter Peter J. Marino who discovered the hit group from the San Francisco Bay Area The Doobie Bros. Dote' and Marino formed Penthouse Records in San Carlos, Ca. and they created the instrumental album "Hooked On Themes" which contains such monumental themes as "Charlie's Angels", "Hawaii Five-0", "The Rockford Files" and "Barnaby Jones" which were co-produced with The Ventures producer Joe Saraceno who was voted into the top 100 producers of all time in Billboard Magazine.

Dote', who was labeled "the best drummer in the country" by Marino has performed live with such legends as Santana, Buddy Miles, John Lee Hooker, Greg Allman and many others. Dote' is also credited with his production of the theme from "Dynasty" and "Dallas" as well as his co-production of the theme from "Jaws 2" and the theme from M*A*S*H which he produced with Joe Saraceno. The official website of John Dote' contains a documentary video that features Larry King (CNN NEWS) and Nygel Lythgoe who was the creator of the smash hit t.v. show "So You Think You Can Dance". Also included in the documentary are Janet Jackson and Olivia Newton John. And as of recent, Dote' can be coined as "The Live DJ" and "Recording Producer" for American Idol of Las Vegas. He recently produced 2 soundtracks in his studio with vocalist Thia Megia. Megia finished in the top 11 of the tenth season of American Idol. She has also appeared on The Oprah show, Regis and Kelley and The Tonight Show With Jay Leno.
