Kashimashi

Hihi! Just figured I'd ask if you've seen ep. 12 of Kashimashi yet? (I noticed the edits, figured you might know something about it.) Sorry to bother. ^.^; lilewyn 03:01, 14 April 2006 (UTC)

Yes, I have seen episode 12 of Kashimashi, though I'm sure by now you have as well. I've also been following the manga.
Actually, I missed it and can't find a .torrent ... I'd even watch the commercials! *cry*
I want a ramune (the soda) now for some reason. o.o; Kylu t 22:41, 17 April 2006 (UTC) (aka lilewyn, new sig)

Page Niftyness

I've added some things on my user and talk pages, since I noticed you seem to be interested in the whole template/box style thing as I am. You might want to check out SuggestBot also. Like I said, if you've got any questions, please ask. :D

Frankencow: I was just coming back to update the Utawarerumono site some more and was pleasantly surprised to see that I am not the only Wikipedian with interest in the series.  ;-) It has vastly improved since I saw it last. Thanks your contribution. ^_^ Frankencow 03:50, 1 May 2006 (UTC)

Renaming the GARNET CROW page

Hey Juhachi, thanks for moving/renaming the page for me. I did see the option but I was worried that I'd miss one of the steps involved and might in turn cause a linking problem between different articles. -- Remy Suen 10:15, 18 May 2006 (UTC)

TOKKO

Hey, how is it goin'

I was wondering where you got the idea that Tokko will end in 13 episodes?

if you are relying on the info from anime news network, that is not 100% true. That is only a guess. if there are any official sources you found that shows the series WILL end on july 30th, please inform me.

SinaH--Lord 01:19, 9 June 2006 (UTC)

Well, its episode 6 already and although they included some parts from Vol.2, they haven't even started the second volume's main story, and ranmaru hasn't even awakened its demon yet. That is why since there are no defenite endings, we should leave it as on going and do ot put an ending date for it.

SinaH--Lord 03:53, 10 June 2006 (UTC) Hey, i was wondering if it isn't too much trouble, vote for TOKKO on HERE.

Japanese episode list

Must be your browser, but I'll use 95% to be on the safe side of compatibility. Thanks for the heads up. Just wondering, what browser are you using? -- Ned Scott 06:02, 9 June 2006 (UTC)

I'm thinking I'm going to make Air my next personal project to bring up to Good Article standards and I was wondering if you'd like to help with that. I don't suppose you've played the game have you? I've got all the anime (except for the stupid recap) and the movie downloaded so I can work on that, but the game is a missing piece and it's going to need more information.--SeizureDog 23:27, 10 June 2006 (UTC)

I would love to help the article grow, especially in the video game section since there's not even a section the article for it yet. Sadly, I have never played the game, so I am unable to help you in that respect, though I do have the studio recap episode (13) that you are lacking. Other than that, I have seen and have in my possession the regular Air TV series (1-12), the Air in Summer specials and the movie.--Juhachi 23:31, 10 June 2006 (UTC)
Yeah, I downloaded the recap, but quickly deleted it. I hate recap episodes, they're such a waste of time. There weren't any new scenes were there? Anyways, we should figure out how we should split the task up. Personally, I want to get to work on a "differences between the game, anime, and movie" type thing. But there are so many I'm thinking we should expand each of the characters into their own section. That way, there will be enough room to show how each character is different in each medium. For example, it could look something like: Lead section (tells the traits that are universal) ==In the game== (game specfic traits and actions) ==In the anime== (ditto for anime) ==In the movie== (ditto for movie) --SeizureDog 23:41, 10 June 2006 (UTC)
That seems to be a brilliant way to tackle the article, though with the supreme lack of game information, much of the article would be empty. --Juhachi 23:45, 10 June 2006 (UTC)
I think I can find enough information to keep the article at a good size even if all plot related information is moved.--SeizureDog 23:53, 10 June 2006 (UTC)
And then would the characters section get so large that it would then have to be split into a different article entirely? I'm currently tackling that problem in the Strawberry Panic! article I've been working on and we're just about to split the characters section off because the article just reached 30 KB in size.
No, each character would have their own article. It wouldn't be a list of characters article. And I only saw the first episode of Strawberry Panic! but I thought it sucked -_- --SeizureDog 23:53, 10 June 2006 (UTC)
As for the recap episode, there were no new scenes and I thought it was unnecessary to make.--Juhachi 23:45, 10 June 2006 (UTC)
At the end of the series no less. I usually they're made for latecomers to catch up before the big climax but that was just stupid. --SeizureDog 23:53, 10 June 2006 (UTC)

Haha, I should have guessed it was by Squilibob. All of his stubs are like that.--SeizureDog 00:51, 11 June 2006 (UTC)

I removed the Category:Air (video game) as well because that's a bad name for a category. A more correct name would be "Air series". I don't think categories are ever supposed to have ()s.--SeizureDog 05:45, 11 June 2006 (UTC)

About a recent edit

I just happen to see this edit on the Strawberry Panic! article. I just want to inform you that it doesn't matter if the first letter is capitalized or not. I know that I have a bad habit of flipping the case when I'm already editing an article, but editing an article just to flip the case puts more stress on the servers then just leaving it. --TheFarix (Talk) 02:14, 16 June 2006 (UTC)

That's ok, I just wanted you to be aware of it and keep from losing time you can use to improve articles (or hit that you should save in only when you are already improving a article ;)). --TheFarix (Talk) 02:35, 16 June 2006 (UTC)

I've never noticed that Signature button, thanks :)--melodiester 03:52, 24 June 2006 (UTC)

As per this edit, I request you check other anime episodes I have been involved with. See: User:Cool Cat/Office for other episode lists I participated. :) --Cat out 20:24, 25 June 2006 (UTC)

If you look at Template talk:Japanese episode list under Using the template, you'll see that the standard is 98% and not 100%, so I changed it accordingly. Actually, it was because I brought up the point to Ned Scott that he changed it from 100% to 98% because of the horizontal scrolling bar that appears on the MSN browser that I use, if not others, but I'm not sure if it affects any other browsers the same way.--Juhachi 20:32, 25 June 2006 (UTC)
Why must you cite a reason? I am assuming good faith and do not desire nor require a detailed explanation.
I was only asking you to make similar modifications on all other episode lists on my office and check for other problems that might exist with msn browser.
--Cat out 20:36, 25 June 2006 (UTC)
Oh, well I misread it then; sorry. I've made the same modification to the Planetes and FMA lists too.--Juhachi 20:38, 25 June 2006 (UTC)
Thank you. Please let me know if any of the lists break with any browser. I;ll do my best to make it compatible with all browsers or at least I will try ;) --Cat out 03:21, 26 June 2006 (UTC)

Thanks for the note, it was quite flattering to think I'm inspiring others here! I find it kinda funny how close the pages are, you even duplicated my first copyright mistake! (Megumi-2's copyrighted, not allowed on userpages! Ack! I did the same thing with my Yahoo! avatar. Might want to make some original art and replace it before anyone notices! Eek!)

Anywho, page looks good, nifty scheme, now to just knock this encyclopedia thing out of the way and we'll be done, right? :D ~Kylu (u|t) 04:28, 9 July 2006 (UTC)

This message likely isn't as coherent as it should, and I apologize. I'm obligated to explain myself properly, but unfortunately I'm also in the middle of a heatwave that makes it hard to focus on anything but not melting, and already committed to writing this.

I don't see how calling the doctor in Pretty Face "demented" is POV. I agree that it's a colorful expression, but is there any doubt that the character has been designed to be a maniac? NPOV doesn't mean avoiding phrases that can sound like it, and doing so is ultimately somewhat harmful to the encyclopedia... and directly harmful to the article, in this case, as establishing that the doctor isn't quite on the same wavelength as the rest of mankind goes a long way explaining the course of events. --Kizor 16:03, 9 July 2006 (UTC)

I haven't read the entire manga, but I've seen the ending. I see your points: You know the entirety better than I do, and the doctor can be responsible and mature when nothing else works. Still, he's a certified nutjob. If "demented" doesn't leave room for his sensible side, how about "deranged"? His character could be further clarified in the appropriate section - this is just the plot overview. --Kizor 19:33, 13 July 2006 (UTC)
If it walks like a duck, and quacks like a duck, we must at least consider the possibility that we have a waterfowl in our hands. Removing things solely on the criteria that they aren't explicitly stated is a dangerous path. A degree of interpretation is vital. While there are of course limits, I don't think there's reasonable doubt about the weirdness of the good doctor.

Principles aside, I have no great wish to brew a storm in a shotglass over a detail. If "bizarre" doesn't cut it, either, do as you wish. --Kizor 19:48, 15 July 2006 (UTC)

New Nihongo param

I just recently added a new parameter to the nihongo template which you may find useful. It allows for additional text after the parentheses but still remain unbolded. That should keep us from having to hack the extra parameter any further. --TheFarix (Talk) 21:19, 10 July 2006 (UTC)

Kizuna and Remon

Would it be too early to conclude that Kizuna and Remon from Lilum are in an intimate relationship? The kiss was more a ploy for Kizuna to win the thumb wrestling match. It is understandable that they are very close friends, but their intimacy may be speculative. Unless the manga says otherwise. Speaking of Episode 15, nice choice for the pic. I was thinking about that same scene for it. Also, should Chihaya and Noriko now be included for Maitor characters? --Stahlwolf 20:37, 16 July 2006 (UTC)

Juhachi, I wanted to thank you for your assistance on the editing. I'll be continuing with this over the next few hours tonight and I'll keep making changes over the next few weeks. Could you have a look at "The Integrated Data Entity" section? I corrected the grammar, but the section is very unclear. What is "nonphysical data"? Is there another word you can use besides "nonphysical data"? Can you give an example? How do humans seek and obtain nonphysical data? What did Haruhi Suzumiya do that created so much nonphysical media that it attracted the Integrated Data Entity's attention? --SayWhatYouMeanAndMeanWhatYouSay 04:26, 29 July 2006 (UTC)

Kashimashi Userboxes

Juhachi, I just wanted to let you know that I created Kashimashi userboxes if you were interested. I don't know if you like the show, or were just editing the article as part of the Anime and Manga project. You can find them here. --Tom 06:29, 31 August 2006 (UTC)

Just to knitpick, reversing the "ka" and "ma" characters would be a good idea. Don't know if you know this, but when Japanese is written top-to-bottom, it is also right-to-left. ...that means I need to change mine too... --Tom 07:29, 31 August 2006 (UTC)
Putting the kana as "ma" "ka" "shi" "shi" works resonably well. --Tom 07:32, 31 August 2006 (UTC)
I went over your Kasimasi userbox, and some of the color combinations are too subtle, especially the pink in the ID portion versus the pink in the Info portion. They're just different enough so that you can notice them, but not different enough that they work well with each other. (It took me some time, as well as a friend's input, to get the color combination I went with.) (This is Tom, by the way, I changed my signature.) --Limetom 12:34, 31 August 2006 (UTC)

Re: Kashimashi manga

Hi, I can't give you a link that says it hasn't ended, but I've read this month's issue and the story is still ongoing... So barring something disastrous (like the author's death!) I think it's still running :)

I find that it's a bit risky judging the end of the serialization from the size of the tankobon, because often times the last volume does not follow the pattern of the previous ones.

  • The author might add original material for the tankobon, be it extra pages, extra episodes, or an omake. Sometimes a "yomikiri" work by the same author is included.
  • The last volume might be thicker than the rest.
  • The last volume might not contain omake material.

Anyways, I was wondering where you found that this manga will end in four volumes. --Mikeats 00:42, 7 September 2006 (UTC)

  • An image "Yoake Cresent Love logo.png" and confusion
An image "Yoake Cresent Love logo.png" is just used only in TV animation, never in PC game. May confuse user of Wiki that this image is used in PC game. Better move this image to appropriate section related to the TV animation or add new image that is used in PC game, if license issue may clarified.
  • "Brighter than dawning blue"
"Brighter than dawning blue" is not the english translation of "Yoake Mae Yori Ruri Iro Na," but a subtitle of the PS2 game to be appearing. English explanation and consideration of the notation of "Yoake Mae Yori Ruri Iro Na" and one candidate of english translation appears in the "disscussion" page (tab) of Yoake Mae Yori Ruri Iro Na. Also a japanese consideration of "Brighter than dawning blue" is written in the Japanese wiki. Please refer these pages.

--Azulite 08:33, 26 October 2006 (UTC)

Similar discussion (Is "Brigter..." an official translation?) seems posted to the "Note" (equiv. to "discussion") in japanese wiki.
For your information, in [French Wiki], French explanation of "Yoake Mae Yori Ruri Iro Na" is added like, "Yoake Mae Yori Ruri Iro Na (夜明け前より瑠璃色な, D'un bleu plus profond qu'une aube matinale, 瑠璃色 signifiant couleur Lapis-lazuli)."

--Azulite 07:17, 31 October 2006 (UTC)

  • About logo/screenshot of TV anime in "Yoake Mae ..."
As you know, the TV anime is under basshing (i.e. Matsuri@2ch) by the game user and those who watch this anime because of quite *keen* TV anime original(?) additional backgrounds introduced in story, strange movie/picture which does not fit the story (DoDonMai?), quite low quality in movie/picture (Cabbage sceen in 3rd episode seems to become *ledgend* in bad meaning, as like Yasigani in Lost Universe. If you can read and understand japanese, better see the japanese wiki page of [Yoake Mae Yori Ruri Iro Na]
If you keep the caputre of TV anime as a representative of this title, the authors of this wiki might be considered that they do not know well about this title.
It is better to keep in mind that those who played the PC game will see this Wiki page. (this page is link backed from the original japanese wiki page)
And another issue is that broadcasting company TBS/BS-i who has the copyright of this TV anime seems not allowing to use captured movie or screenshot of TV anime outside one's personal PC, also not allowing on the public internet, without *their * permission. [Copyright and Link policy of TBS (In Japanese)] (They seems to check "you tube," and as a result, some video may be removed and some users may suspended.) As you know, at the begening of the episode of this TV anime, a "telop" is shown which means TBS/BS-i does not allow to *flow* picture/movie of this TV anime on the internet (in japan/ overseas). Same thing may be said to the screenshot of each episode. (Those who keep screenshot in their Web site takes their risk. Big Web site, which big company hold the contents, asks TBS/BS-i for permission.) When you take in account of the nature of Wikipedia, it is quite riskful to keep such image on the Wikipedia pages. You may see that japanese Wiki page of this title does not contain any pictures. (even if the japanese authors can access or able to get screenshots of the TV anime.)

Kanon episode list

I like what you're doing for List of Kanon episodes, except: the summaries probably don't need to be a blow-by-blow account of the episode (otherwise, why watch it?). I just read the RfC on the spoiler guideline and Ned Scott brought this point up:

"Elements which are best avoided in any episode article: A scene-by-scene synopsis. An overall plot summary is much better; the article should not attempt to be a replacement for watching the show itself, it should be about the show"

I have to admit, though, the early episodes, when generalized, will look very similar to the first anime. Maybe a section on the plot differences would be appropriate? Magus Melchior 19:17, 4 November 2006 (UTC)

Cool beans. Well, I've seen the 2002 anime myself, and am following the new production with interest (though admittedly I'm not that big on Kanon...). As the first few eps were very similar plot-wise, I'm excited to see what they do in the latter half of the season. Magus Melchior 02:32, 5 November 2006 (UTC)

Thank you for your input to this article. I am planning to include episode summaries for the first season sometime around December 10th or perhaps a few days later. I was just wondering if you plan to include them before I do because if you're not then I will be more than happy to do so. --(十八|talk) 01:14, 29 November 2006 (UTC)

Not at all. In all honesty, plot summaries are the part that I dread the most about working on articles. I prefer to work on the more technical aspects. It'll be good to have someone else helping on the Shuffle! articles. As you probably have seen, I really worked over Shuffle! in preparing it for GA, I really hope that passes. Then I get kinda stuff though, as I've yet to play Tick! Tack! or Really? Really!. I think a seperate article for the anime will need to be made soon so a plot summary of the series as a whole can be put in as well (up for that as well?). I know that if I keep Shuffle! as it is for too long fanboys who've only seen the anime are going to tilt it back to the bias it had before I started cleaning it up. Also, I need to figure out my plan of attack for the individual character articles. Right now they're rather crufty. On a final note, do you want to just do little blurbs for the list? or do you think you could write enough summary to give each episode their own article? If we're able to do the later, we can get the list to be a Featured List, but we'll have to probably wait until after Shuffle! Memories is done to do that anyways.--SeizureDog 01:45, 29 November 2006 (UTC)
No pressure. It's not as though the episode articles are that important. I was merely wondering how far you'd be wanting to go with them. --SeizureDog 15:21, 29 November 2006 (UTC)
I see, that makes a lot of sense. It's easiest to write about a series while you're watching it. I'm currently obsessed with the new Kanon series myself; it's quickly become my favorite anime ever actually. I love that series too much to have anything accidently spoiled for me, so I'm staying clear of the Kanon articles until the series is over. I think you'll really like the Shuffle! anime. It's a very refreshing twist on the harem genre. And not to spoil anything for you, but he does actually choose someone. I don't know about you, but I hate harem anime that end with the guy never choosing anyone (Futakoi and Ichigo 100% pissed me off for this reason).--SeizureDog 16:41, 29 November 2006 (UTC)
That sucks that you got it spoiled. If you don't know that then it is a huge surprise since Asa is mostly cast as a side character in the begining. It's refreshing to watch a romance anime and actually wonder who he'll end up with instead of just how (for example, in Love Hina it's not like there's ever any wondering of who he'll pick). It's amazing how well done these series originally based off of what's basically porn are. Air is another one of those, have you seen it? By the same people that made Kanon. So what are some of your favorite anime aside from Kanon? On a final note, maybe we should switch to IM :P I'm AwaitTheDate on AIM and seizure_dog@hotmail.com for MSN, but it's screwy right now. --SeizureDog 16:57, 29 November 2006 (UTC)

Crescent Love

I just got the first ten episodes of 夜明け前より瑠璃色な~Crescent Love~ and decided to check the Japanese and English wikis to familiarize myself with the plot before taking the plunge. After checking the Japanese version I found the English plot outline a little bit confusing. Please bear in mind my Japanese skills aren't really great,so there's a chance I'm messing things up, but I just wanted to make sure. So, in the Japanese article it says something like:"Long ago, those people[humans] that crosses/went to the Moon founded the Kingdom of Sphere. However, for several hundred years after the Oedipus Wars its relations with Earth [between both countries] have remained cold. The only point of contact is the city of ..." you get the point. So,unless I'm missing something, why are aliens mentioned in the English article? I think the guys shooting at the Moon fleet in the first episode were employing the term "aliens" like people do in Gundam. I think Lunatics are like Zeon to Earthlinks or something along those lines. I am writing to you because I saw you editing several articles related to anime series I am watching/watched like Higurashi no Naku Koro ni, Death Note and now Crescent Love and thought you did a good work. If am wrong, then please forgive me.

Re: Re: Death Note

Hey, it's the least I can do! I love the series, and I dislike (though laugh at some) Wikivandals, so it makes sense to take care of the page. My friend has made jokes about it, and even made me a "Death Note Police" MSN icon, but I've got time on my hands and a dislike of things that are disorderly, so I might as well put them both to good use. I'm glad I've been of help. :3 —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Nique1287 (talkcontribs) 20:11, 22 December 2006 (UTC).

RE: ENOZ

Hey Juhachi, I appreciate you wanting to control Haruhi content and make it concise. But please don't delete the work I'm doing on the ENOZ page. I'm trying to help wikipedia expand its section on fictional bands in television. Such as Josie and the Pussycats, The Archies, Fire Bomber etc. And it kinda sucks to have work deleted repeatedly. So please, let Enoz be.--ThePointman 10:52, 31 December 2006 (UTC)
