Soviet Union

[edit]

As you no doubt know, there is masses of talk page discussion about the terminology. Using "Post-Soviet states" as a header in the infobox was an attempt at both compromise and clarity. Repeatedly putting back "successor states" while avoiding any proper explanation is not helpful. I'm not going to revert again because it's not worth edit-warring over something like this and also because, personally, I don't object to applying successor states to all 15. However, others do, not entirely without reason (although they have been pushing its equally flawed application to only 11 states). Why stoke that when a clear alternative is available?
